Healthy Paws is the reason I can make medical decisions based on my love for my dog—not my bank account

Kali has had multiple health issues, including cancer, and Healthy Paws has come through every single time. Submitting a claim is ridiculously easy—just snap a pic of the vet invoice and SOAP notes in the app, and you're done. I’ve always received reimbursement quickly (sometimes even the next day!), and they even reached out after Kali’s surgery to check on her. Who does that? Yes, the premiums go up each year, but after researching nearly every pet insurance company out there, I’ve found their rates to be very competitive. What makes them stand out even more is how user-friendly their app and website are. I can change my reimbursement rate (I chose 80%), adjust my deductible, or switch between mailed checks and direct deposit—all with just a few clicks. Healthy Paws doesn’t cover basic visits or routine dental cleanings, but they cover what actually matters: medications, diagnostic tests, emergencies, surgeries—even dental emergencies. Theo, my wonderful Aussie Doodle, is a bundle of joyful energy. He's got that perfect mix of goofy charm and boundless enthusiasm, always ready for an adventure. And sometimes, those adventures lead to little bumps and scrapes. We've certainly had our share of unexpected vet visits! That's precisely where FIGO has been an absolute lifesaver. What truly sets them apart is their claim processing. It’s not just easy; it’s genuinely stress-free. Not long ago, Theo had an incident that required an urgent trip to the vet. My immediate concern, of course, was Theo's comfort, but a close second was the thought of the impending bill. Submitting the claim through the FIGO app was incredibly straightforward. I just snapped a quick photo of the invoice and tapped a few buttons. I fully expected to wait days, maybe even longer, but to my delight, within just a couple of days, I received an email confirming the claim was being reviewed. And then, BAM! The reimbursement was in my bank account. There were no confusing forms, no endless phone calls, and no chasing down paperwork. It was fast, efficient, and wonderfully transparent. Beware of Duplicate Billing and…

Beware of Duplicate Billing and Unresponsive Support I’ve been a loyal Healthy Paws customer since 2014, but my recent experience has been so frustrating that I can no longer recommend them. What Went Wrong * In 2024 I adopted dog B and added her to my original policy (which I’d held since 2014 for my late dog, K). * Unbeknownst to me, B was also added to my husband’s separate policy (for his dog, S), so we’ve been billed twice for the exact same pet since February 2024. * No claims have been paid out for B under either policy—so we’ve paid double premiums for zero coverage. Attempts to Fix It 1. July 7, 2025: Spent over an hour on the phone only to be told it was “beyond capacity” and that management would call back within 24 hours—no callback ever came. 2. Messaged Healthy Paws on Instagram (screenshots available) with no response. 3. July 14, 2025: Called again, was put on hold until the call dropped, and couldn’t get through afterward. 4. Submitted multiple online inquiries—still nothing. Bottom Line I’ve asked repeatedly for one of the duplicate policies to be cancelled retroactive to February 2024 and for a full refund of the overpaid premiums. Instead of help, I’ve been stonewalled. Hours wasted, double billing, and no accountability—this is not the customer service experience I expected. For many years Healthy Paws were an incredible company. This is just my most recently issue with them. The last two years their service has gone downhill. Until Healthy Paws fixes this mess and makes it right, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend them. 7/18/25 Edit to add - received a call from a helpful manager AFTER posting my review. One policy has been cancelled. I will update when I receive a refund
