Thank goodness for you!

Everyone should have pet insurance from day ONE! I use to think, well it does not cover the exam or preventive, therefore why would I need them. HERE IS WHY::: SOMETHING ALWAYS UNEXPECTED COMES UP, AND TRUPANION COVERS IT! EVERY DOG I EVER OWNED HAD SOMETHING, TUMORS, SURGERY, PARVO, BROKEN LEG, ETC, THIS IS WHERE THE EXPENSES CRANK UP AND YOU COVER IT.. Thank you Trupanion for helping us cover that unexpected expense!

Pet insurance is a must nowadays

Recently I spent close to 4K on my 12 year old dog to have a fatty tumor (non cancerous) removed from his leg. It has significantly improved his quality of life, but it certainly decimated our finances. My mother had a 3.5K bill for her dog that swallowed parts of a dog toy and my sister has spent over 10K on her dog treating Valley Fever. Both of the other two dogs were under 6 years. I now carry health insurance on my other two dogs as they are active in the water (injury potential), attend doggie daycare (easy to pick up other diseases), travel with us (could get lost), live in the woods (disease & injury potential from wild predators), etc. The only negative is that there is a lot of paperwork your vet must supply in the beginning. Also the orthopedic exam has to be done after their insurance date. So it will cost me another vet visit.

Reliable communication and genuine employees

Aspca pet insurance has been very reliable and have helped a ton with reimbursements on vet Bulls as we struggled to figure out what was wrong with our dog. Once we finally followed up and got her on meds, they followed up to find out if she was feeling better and if there's anything else they can do to help. I was really impressed with the service and the genuine people I spoke with (like bob).

Buyer beware

I've been a Trupanion member for 1 year now and was notified that the rate for my Domestic Grey Tabby Cat (a rescue) will go up even though I have no claims for the year. I have a perfectly healthy cat being fed the best food available on the market! After contacting Trupanion I understand that a) they slyly got rid of my old plan and put me on a new plan with so called "additional benefits" and b) these additional benefits include a rate increase to subsidize care for animals in my area with eg. "breeding related conditions." How misleading and completely discouraging for those of us rescuing animals from shelters (and for the animals that desperately need homes) and what a reward for people who continue adopt pure bread animals. Buyer beware!

one of the best decisions we made for our puppy!

My wife and I adopted an older (9 years old) min pin soon after we were married, and because of some health concerns the shelter had, we knew we may be taking him to the vet more often then we'd like. I learned about pet insurance through my vet's office, and looked at VPI, Trupanion and ASPCA. The first two would not provide coverage to our puppy because of a combination of reasons (age, pre-existing conditions, congenital breed issues...all the good stuff) so i decided to give ASPCA a shot. I AM SO HAPPY I DID! They provided coverage for our little guy, and I have not regretted the decision to go with them. The premium for him is reasonable, and the coverage they've provided is more than I would have expected from a pet insurance company. There are some reasons certain things are not covered, but they have always explained in detail why things are not covered and all are reasonable/rationale. I can honestly say I've been pleasantly surprised when I see the amount covered. Case in point - our little guy recently went through some tough times, having seizures unexpectedly which cause us a lot of concern. We took him to a neurologist who recommended an MRI, which can be a costly examination (~2000). We decided to get the MRI and would figure out the finances regardless of what Insurance covered. Submitted to ASPCA after the MRI was done...Boom, 80% covered which was incredibly helpful. As an added bonus, their website makes it easy to track the status of claims, and things are processed in a very timely manner (longest so far is 10 business days). What really impresses me about ASPCA is that they show they care about our dog's well being. After seeing all of the claims for the MRI, seizures and all that fun, we got a call from Bob from ASPCA - this was not to do anything but ask how Eddie was doing, if he was feeling better, if we needed anything additional or had any questions about our claims. This has been consistent from all of my interactions with them - first part of the conversation is always "how is he doing" or "i'm really sorry to hear that" followed by some words of comfort. It is very comforting because these calls are usually made at stressful times. For any other pet we have, I will absolutely be getting ASPCA coverage. Highly recommend!!

Recommend them to everyone!

I found Embrace after researching pet insurance companies that would fit best the needs of my English bulldog rescue, Duke. I feel blessed to have come across them and to be able to afford insurance for my dog! Embrace has truly been amazing, I recommend them to all my friends and people I meet, especially the ones with puppies. They give me the freedom to choose my own vet and treatment option and that itself is a relief, not to mention the fact that they cover 80% of pretty much anything Duke needs from allergy medications to knee surgeries and beyond. I am a real person, I do not get paid by Embrace and I cannot say enough good things about them. Up until now they have been nothing, but a gift that keeps on giving!

Meow! Meow! Meow! (translation: sooo happy!)

My name is Meisha and I've just had my yearly physical at the Vet. My owner (slave) almost cried with relieve when she realized that my insurance policy would cover most of the bill. I hate to see my owner cry, so thank you, Embrace, for reimbursing her. Now we can afford a treat! Meow! Meow!

The Best Pet Insurance by far!

We switched from VPI to Healthy Paws after discovering they had a schedule of coverage that wasn't nearly sufficient for the real costs of illness. Since then, our standard poodle has been very ill with liver disease. We were able to make all health decisions without considering costs. Healthy Paws had completed every single claim in a timely fashion - covering 90% of all costs including costly prescription medications. I have recommended several friends and would rate them #1 by far!

Caring and effective customer service

If you are looking into pet insurance, Healthy Paws is the way to go! We decided to purchase pet insurance for our dog, Sampson. We have been happy with the service, communication, coverage and plain kindness of these folks, but never more than now, when Sampson has been diagnosed with cancer. From the first visit to the ultrasound to the big oncology visit we have today, I know Healthy Paws is with us. The claims service is excellent and has been simple to handle. What matters even more is that the claim handlers really care. As soon as i submitted an invoice, i had a response, and the claim was handled within a day. And the personal touch is so evident, with the "give Sampson a hug" to "we are so sorry" along with the great service. Thank you.
