I'm a long time customer of VPI Ins. I have had it with several of my pets. If it was not for this policy I would probably not have been able to have so many pets in my life. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service for our furry friends.

Coverage denied for vomiting and diarrhea as had issue with diarrhea as a puppy (treated at home with pumpkin)
My 1.5 year old dog went to emergency for vomiting and diarrhea. Trupanion denied the claim as in my vet's notes she had had diarrhea as a puppy before she was covered that was so minor I didn't bring her in for it. She also had diarrhea twice since while covered. This time she had severe diarrhea as she had likely eaten garbage off the street. I wish I could leave Trupanion but it is hard because of other pre-existing conditions. I regret that I may need to stay with them. I've heard Desjardins is good and would like to switch.

Having pet insurance makes decisions about medical care easier.
We adopted a dog with seizures knowing that could not be covered, but having coverage for everything else is a blessing. Our beagle-basset mix certainly has a lot of unusual problems! Some of our vet bills have been extensive. Nationwide makes it easy to submit a claim and get reimbursed promptly.
