Never again

I bought my 1st policy from Embrace alomst a year ago. They've made so many mistakes, I can't name them all, from asking the wrong vet for info on my dog to processing a medical/wellness claim as just a wellness claim. Now they refuse to pay any portion(including Heartguard) for that claim. They say they can't get the info they need from the vet (that lying vet said they gave them all the info they asked for-when they finally asked the right vet). Apparently, this is a normal tactic to avoid paying a legitimate claim. They haven't paid any medical claims (deductible),and wouldn't have to for this claim; they just use it as an excuse not to pay the wellness claim. This is the kind of company that gives insurance a bad name.

Simple, clear experience

I really appreciate being informed in plain English what's happening with a claim for my cat. Filing a claim is a simple form I give to my vet, then I receive emails from Trupanion when the claim is being reviewed, and then when the decision is made about the outcome. I'm never left wondering "what's this form?" or "what the heck does this mean?" That means a lot when I'm already worried about my little guy. Thank you!

Embrace ROCKS!!

That really sums it up!! I am so glad that I decided to start using Embrace last year for my (now) 3 pugs, 2 of which are seniors. They are so helpful and accommodating when I call to ask questions or change my policy in some way. The claims are processed so quickly, and I never have to worry about the details. If I hadn't Embraced them I would now have to work another job!

Trupanion is outstanding!

My 11 yr old cat(Sam) has been diagnosed with "mega colon". Trupanion has always done exactly as they advertise including pay for much of Sam's monthly prescription which he will be on for the of his sweet life. I am so glad I signed up for Trupanion for both my Sam and Annabelle.

Trupanion is wonderful!

I thought my 2 year old pup had parasites. Turns out her pancreas stopped producing enough enzymes to digest her food. Diagnosis was a process of elimination and lots of tests. I have nothing but good things to say about the claim process - I submitted my many receipts on Saturday by email, and Monday morning I received a confirmation email that the claims were open. By the end of day Monday my claims were processed! The service is super fast, the staff are cheerful and make you feel like they are there to help. Best thing I ever did was go with Trupanion.

Totally satisfied - because I did my homework

Without boring you with the details of our situation, we decided to get pet insurance after spending way too much on our dog's medical needs. Our dog had a surprise diagnosis with a price tag of about $6,000. I did my homework and knew that there was a set amount that VPI would pay for specific diagnoses; my husband did not. I was actually pleasantly surprised about how much we received to cover the costs (just over 50%); my husband was not impressed but that's because he didn't understand how the insurance works. Here's another pleasant surprise: you don't have to submit medical bills and get each bill individually reimbursed. About two weeks after diagnosis we just received the entire benefit from the insurance, even though we experienced the cost of the treatment over 5 months. That helped so much. We are thrilled with this service, even after some misunderstanding on my husband's part.

Call in to check on claim

I called in to check on whether or not a claim was received. Darcy was very helpful. Even though she had to go "down several levels" to answer my question, she did it with no hesitation and was very nice. Always good service!

If only human's Insurance was this good!

Toro, our 6 month old Bulldog mix needed surgery for Entropion. His eyelid turned in and caused an ulcer. We took him to a specialist and had the surgery done. I was quite surprised at how expensive the treatment was and given my experience with people insurance I braced myself for the worst. To my amazement Healthy Paws processed and paid the full agreed-to amount within a week!! I have now filed three claims and each time they have been processed quickly and painlessly. Their care and high level of service makes it a no-brainer to recommend Healthy Paws pet insurance to pet owners. Can you start covering people too please? :)

Excellent

Excellent claim handling again. Picked my dog up at the vets @ 11:00 a.m. and I already had an email @ 3:05 the same day stating how much the insurance company would cover and that a cheque had been processed already.

Smart Choice

We are new to Embrace but we are already impressed. They seem to be true to their word when they sold us the insurance. We picked up the insurance when our Golden was just turning five. Now at almost six years old he has been diagnosed with a heart condition. When you pick up insurance at a later age there are some pre existing condition exclusions which could be wiggle room for Embrace for non payment. With this new diagnosis we felt they made their reimbursement decisions fairly. They have been terrific about recognizing it is a new condition. The claims department has great customer service and response time. The EOB's (Explanation of Benefits ) statements are clear and understandable and payment of reimbursements are swift. We are very happy so far.
