Still fabulous

I've been with Embrace for almost 7 years and have nothing but positive things to say. I have two dogs and a cat, and while one dog and the cat have required almost no care, my 13-year-old cattle dog mix, Peggy, has Cushings and arthritis and a variety of other age-related issues. My Embrace coverage gives me the ability to make her final months/years as comfortable as I possibly can. They provide superior coverage at an affordable price, with quick reimbursement. It's really amazing. I wish my human insurance worked as well! I recommend Embrace to friends and to all the veterinary professionals on Peggy's team. Thank you!

Extremely Satisfied!

My German Shepherd recently had to go to the ER as she was having trouble breathing and swallowing. The vet sent her to a specialist who ultimately recommended surgery to fix any potential tears in her trachea. I submitted the bill the day after surgery expecting all kinds of loopholes and requests for additional information, etc. Instead, to my surprise, the claim was approved in less than 24 hours without any additional requests! And, we even received an e-mail checking on our pup to see how she was doing. Purchasing this insurance was absolutely the right decision. Having peace of mind when you are having to make health decisions for your pup is priceless!

Peace of Mind

We have two dogs, a puggle and a lab mix. It is without hesitation that I recommend Health Paws Insurance. We have had several claims ranging from UTI to the latest a paw laceration. Our claims are reviewed and paid within a few days! It's such a nice touch that they follow up with the animals progress and are genuinely concerned. It's a wonderful feeling that if something serious should happen to our pets we won't have to think twice about getting them the care they need since we have Healthy Paws Insurance!

Trupanion came through for Hugh * # 1 Pet Ins!

I submitted a review and it was not posted! I have proof that Trupanion paid $30,867 if you want me to send you my info! ____________________________________________________________ REVIEW! Hello, I just read through some of the reviews for Trupanion and I can't believe anyone would have anything but great things to say about this company. My experience has been 100% positive. I read a couple of the negative reviews that Trupanion didn't pay for hardly anything. What I tell people is, don't wait until your pet has a condition. Get the insurance just in case. When I share my story I am amazed when people say I will wait until my pet gets older. Big mistake, it's a gamble because animals get sick when they are young also. I just got lucky because I signed up when my dog was completely healthy with no health issues and he was older. I was in Pet Food Express in Mill Valley, CA and one of the staff recommended pet insurance for my 10 year old Doberman. Hugh was in excellent health and I could not for see him ever having any health issues however, I wanted to make sure if he did I could give him the very best care without worrying about the cost of care. If you are looking for pet insurance I can't say enough great things about Trupanion. Trupanion reimbursed $30,867 in less than a year for my 12 year old Doberman Hugh. My deductible was $500 and they paid 90% after the deductible with no limit. The service is also amazing. Each time I called, I have spoken with a very friendly healthful representative. The company is made up of animal lovers. I signed up with Trupanion on July 10th, 2012. Hugh was diagnosed with an Osteosarcoma (bone cancer in his back leg) August 12th, 2013. I scheduled surgery with an orthopedic surgeon in San Francisco. They amputated his leg August 14th. Trupanion called right after the surgery to ask, how's Hugh doing? Not once was the amount of his care brought up. They were genuinely concerned about how he was doing. The bills for the week of surgery were over $9000 and then they continued because I had to act fast because they gave him less than 6 months to live if I did not do chemo. Even though Trupanion would pay for chemo which is very expensive, I did not want to go this route for treatment. I choose to treat Hugh holistically and Trupanion paid for all the holistic care and supplements that the vet prescribed. After a few weeks of recovery I put him into rehab. Hydro therapy, Acup

First time Healthy Paws client

I own an English Retriever. At the age of 10 months she ingested a highly toxic mushroom, Death Cap. In the first 24h post ingestion, if the stomach is pumped, the animal has a great chance of survival, however there are not visible symptoms during this time. My dog was in critical condition at 48h but it took my vet another 24h to determine that she has been poisoned. I rushed her to Sage hospital in San Mateo where she received around the clock care (08-08-2014 to 08-13-2014). After 5 days and over $7,000 in medical bills Sam has recovered and released from the hospital. My medical bills were faxed the next day from both my primary care vet's office as well as from Sage hospital. These claims were processed within one week and in an additional 3 more days they were completed. I was granted 90% reimbursement as stated on the policy. There was no catch, no fine prints, no delays. I was advised by many to not get a Pet insurance because it is a waste of money. What can I say, other than I am delighted that I didn't follow their advise.

Absolutely Horrible!

Healthy paws have the worst customer service! I've been trying to get my vet bills claimed for over 2 months now and still trying because they are unable to get my dogs medical history. I've faxed it over twice but they said it was unclear so then I emailed it but they didn't receive it. Next I personally mailed it but they said it would take 2 week to receive it so 2 weeks later they emailed me saying they still haven't received it yet. One of the girl whom I spoke to, Star, hung up the phone on me which doesn't help the situation. I'm still fighting for my claims! Worst insurance company. This is my first insurance company for my dog and the worst experience ever! Don't use them !

I recommend Trupanion and I give them an A+

My last pet of 10 years was an Italian Greyhound named Bailey. He had developed a serious chest infection that required surgery and extensive medication, which had become very expensive. After about 6 months he made a turn for the worse and he passed away. I recently welcomed a new Italian Greyhound puppy into my family. His name is Murphy. I took Murphy to my veterinarian for his puppy check up. Knowing of the expense I incurred during Bailey’s illness, my veterinarian told me about Trupanion . After reading the information, I decided to sign Murphy up using the 30-day certificate with no waiting period. Murphy now has medical insurance and is covered for all accidents and illnesses. Soon after making the first month premium payment,Murphy broke his leg. It was on a holiday so I rushed him to an Emergency Animal Hospital. To make a long story short, Trupanion came through like a champ. I signed up for Trupanion May 21, 2014, I made my first premium payment June 20, Murphy broke his leg July 4 and they operated July 7. I notified Trupanion and they took it from there. They paid 90% less the initial exam, my deductable and my 10%. On July 14, Trupanion deposited their 90% into my checking--over $3,200.00. They will continue paying 90% until Murphy is released--unbelievable!I highly recommend Trupanion. They have been excellent to work with. Their staff are very courteous, friendly and caring. They also follow up to see how Murphy is doing. What more could you ask for? I give them an A+.

ASPCA cares about my pets!

I began coverage shortly after putting my 19 yo cat down. (She had about $3,000/yr for her last 2 yrs of illness.) A few months after getting ASPCA insurance, my male cat was discovered to have high blood pressure (my vet cks bp during annual visits). That led to a heart specialist who determined he had a heart murmur. At roughly the same time, the vet found raised kidney levels. (Had to get an ultrasound by a secialist.) Normal vet/specialists/meds totaled about $1,500. ASPCA paid about 80% after satisfying the deductible. Riley is as healthy as possible, now, and gets an EKG annually. Both of my cats get regular chiropractic treatments (ASPCA covers those, too) and the vet comes to my house to do them. I am so grateful to have vet insurance and LOVE ASPCA! Everyone I have talked to, there, has been professional, LISTENS to me, is kind and my claims all get paid very quickly. Reimbursements go directly into my bank account -- which is greatly appreciated. (When I was deciding which insurance to get, I had a lot of questions to ask. Ended up asking my vet as I had narrowed the field down to two. Glad I picked ASPCA!)

Microchip Stopped working

Tech was very rude, said that they are not responsible for Chip. Chip has been scanned previously and I know chip has not just mysteriously disappeared out of dog's skin...They put it off on facility that placed chip in dog... So not happy with this company!
