Kat with AKC was amazing with us
Kat with AKC was amazing with us! I called in a panic because our pet insurance had expired. I was within a certain time frame to reinstate the policy and back paid premiums. Our puppy had to get emergency surgery yesterday! Kat explained all the different policy options for us and what she recommended for Mila, our 4 month old Belgian Malinois. Kat was a lifesaver. Everything seemed to be going wrong in our life at that moment, besides calling AKC and speaking with her. Thank you for giving us piece of mind and caring about Mila as much as we do! It truly is a gift to have. I work at State Farm insurance and I am all about selling the promise. Thanks Kat with AKC!!!

Excellent Coverage & Customer Service
Our dog had to undergo a major surgery. Healthy Paws was instrumental in allowing us to get the best treatment for our pup. He's well on his way to a full recovery and Healthy Paws was able to help with the medical costs and their flexibility on providers was extremely helpful. Customer service has always been fantastic as well, I can tell they really care about the well being of our dog.

The reply to my comment below is worse than the excuse that was given to us in the first place. It is very easy to say "we do our best ...", and don't do anything. For your information, we tested our dog for giardia before making the huge mistake of paying Healthy paws, and it was negative. After joining this insurance plan, she had a stomach issue, and the vet said they should test her again. Now Healthy paws says this is "pre-existing" because our dog was tested for giardia before, and they cannot understand the simple fact that when the test is negative nothing "exists"!!

The BEST Experience and Prices!
I can’t say enough great things about this company. I have had pet insurance from a few different providers over the years. The company I was with before raised my pet’s premiums after the very first year by a ridiculous amount, even though I had not made any claims and my pets were young. I understand that older animals will see an increase each year but Pet’s Best has only increased my senior cat’s premium a minimal amount each year and has not touched the premium on my other younger pets. Their prices are also some of the best I have found in my research. The last thing I could have imagined was that I would need to make a claim so early in my dog’s life, but he became severely sick out of the blue and within 1 week we lost him. During this time, we had several vet visits with them trying various treatments to make him comfortable and treat the symptoms in order to find out what was causing him to be so ill. I had prepared myself for the red tape of dealing with the insurance claim due to the huge bill. What I got instead was a claim process that was able to be done online in minutes and a full payout with no questions within 2 weeks! The last thing you want to deal with when you are grieving is the runaround from an insurance company and what I got was compassion and quick action. They refunded me the remainder of his policy amount for the year when I reached out as well. When I renewed the other pets a month later there was no increase due to making a claim on my other dog. Overall just a fantastic experience!

Overall a good experience
My experience with Pet Best was good and the only reason I gave them a 4 is that it took 30 days to get a response on my claim was I was originally told 15. Also I had some frustration with one of their onsite supports techs. I was pleasantly happy to get refunded 90% of the cost after my deductible. Will refer them to friends.
