Trupanion is keeping my dog alive and healthy.
I insured my dog shortly after I adopted her in 2012 at age 3 and faithfully paid premiums year after year without making a claim. My friends thought I was "wasting money" but my last dog lived to be 17, and I knew how expensive senior pups can be, so I kept it, for senior care and if she became injured or sick. I never wanted to have to choose between her life and money. Fast forward to the end of 2019 and my sweet girl began to show signs of her age. First, she was diagnosed with liver disease, then a heart murmur. A year later it was asthma, Cushing's disease and diabetes. Finally, she's gone blind. I'm on a fixed income and would never had been able to care for her, Trupanion insurance is literally what's keeping her alive. The expenses of treatments, tests and medication are staggering and I have been reimbursed for all of them. Heart and liver medication, inhalers, insulin, syringes, glucose testing, the list goes on. My girl is comfortable, loved, happy and living her golden years pain free thanks to Trupanion. Insurance is the reason I can care for her. Claims and reimbursements are processed very quickly, there are no yearly or lifetime caps. Customer service is outstanding. Pretty much every medical related expense has been covered 90%. I cannot stress enough how important insurance is. My expenses over the past two years have made the past nine years' premiums completely worth it. Now you must be aware that premiums do go up every year. My payments started out at around $30 a month and are now $97 (I live in an expensive zip code), but it's worth it! Because of Trupanion, I don't have to put a price on my dog's life.

So easy. Our emergency veterinarian had direct billing which allowed us to concentrate on our sick dog. Trupanion was in constant communication with me through email and also communicated with our veterinarian. Our coverage allowed us to make important decisions for our pet and ultimately saved his life.

Trupanion, service, customer appreciation, timely processing and overall care for me and my fur babies is OVER THE TOP !!! Don't let anyone tell you another company can do better. Experience says, they can't. Thank you Trupanion, Lexi and Luther thank you too !! When submitting a claim, I have a response before I even leave the vet counter. Actually, I usually have it before they do. I am so impressed with the way Trupanion has dealt with my claims, although very little is rejected they always take the time to discuss any concerns. I know that having the comfort of Trupanion insurance I don't hesitate to get my dogs the best care they can have. I don't have to worry that I can't afford a visit for "any" issues they have.
