STRIVES TO DENY YOUR CLAIM FOR ANY REASON POSSIBLE

I adopted a shelter cat in late October of 2015 and enrolled her in Embrace. She had been an abused cat and was nervous and untrusting and quick to try to bite. She seemed to groom frequently but I attributed this to nervousness and gave her love and fish oil supplements for her coat. Her coat improved and grew much thicker and shinier but she appeared to still be over-grooming and itchy so I took her to my vet in January of 2016, well after the policy wait period. There was no diagnosis but pruritis which is a symptom, not even a condition. I submitted my claim to Embrace and it was denied as a pre-existing condition stating that nothing related to itchiness would ever be covered. This is absurd. They could not find anything in her record which indicated that she ever had anything so the very fact that I mentioned to my vet that she seemed to groom a lot prompted Embrace do deny my claim even though she did not see a vet until more that two months after I enrolled her in Embrace. They will do anything to deny your claim. The policy states a pre-existing condition is anything that is diagnosed prior to the waiting period. Nothing was diagnosed prior to the waiting period yet my claim has been denied. DO NOT INSURE YOUR PET WITH THIS COMPANY WHICH HAS APPARENTLY BEEN SOLD AND CHANGED UNDERWRITERS.

Great company!

We have field trial golden retrievers that are near and dear to us. We have gotten pet insurance for almost 20 years with various companies and have been with Embrace since almost their inception. Our 2 goldens were started with Embrace since they were puppies. Our next puppy (soon to be born) will be insured with Embrace. Caring people. Super quick turnaround. Direct deposit - great when we're on the road or away from home for treatment. Easy to work with. Honest.

Efficient and fast

This was probably the longest I have waited for a claim check BUT every claim has been handled professionally and the staff is extremely kind. The checks are mailed VERY fast. I am very impressed with this company and will tell everyone I know!

Very Happy

I have had insurance for about six years and I've never had any medical issues until recently. ASPCA has been wonderful at taking care of my claims quickly and effectively. And I know that if I have any questions I can always call and ask, it's great to know they care about my dog as much as I do!

My baby passed and they denied her cremation cost

How cruel can a pet insurance company be? My baby passed 10/15/15 and these assholes would not even cover a $350 cremation bill! I have never submitted any other expenses other than this and they denied it. Bypass this company folks, they are full of crap and do not care about your pets, its the bottom line as usual!

easy

My dog has a chronic condition, and after meeting the deductible, my claims have been paid quickly and reliably. There has never been a problem and I have not had to put effort of any kind into getting a payment. Thank you Trupanion

Disappointed

When we adopted Gabby we made it a goal for her to get a check up twice a year. Back in March, this went off without a hitch, and we received prompt payment out of our wellness benefits, and there were no health concerns. In October we took Gabby in for her second check up. The vet noted that she needed her teeth cleaned and that she had a growth on her stomach. So, about a week later at the vets suggestion, we took Gabby back to have her teeth cleaned and have the growth removed. We faxed the receipts and itemized invoices both times. About a week after the first claim, I got a message that the claim was pending because they needed medical records. I messaged Embrace back with the name and number of the only two vet offices Gabby has been seen at as well as how many appoints and when she had them there. A week later I got the same, generic message on the second claim about needed more information. Two weeks after that, both claims were closed due to lack of information. I just think to my self that since February, we're probably paid Embrace around $700, which happened to be about what Gabby's bills totaled too. It leaves me with the feeling that Embrace is a company much like any other, interested solely in profits.

Trupanion delivers

We have a Rottweiler insured with Trupanion and unfortunately he has had a hip replacement, crochet ligament surgery and has a lesion on his spine causing him to not feel his back legs. Trupanion has covered the claims without a moment's hesitation, helping us to take care of our beloved family member. I use a credit card and before the bill arrives, the check from Trupanion arrives. Highly recommend this to anyone with a pet. Veterinary bills are very expensive and I never want to have to choose between taking care of our dog or paying the bills.
