Embrace Is Highly Recommended
When I adopted my doxie, the first thing I did was research pet insurance. I found Embrace and took out wellness and illness policies. Fortunately, I have not had to use the illness coverage, but I use the wellness every year and recovery most of, if not all, the money that I pay into the policy. The staff is friendly to talk to and eager to answer questions and the reimbursements are easy to file and quick to pay out. I will never have another dog without Embrace Pet Insurance. (I filled out the rest of the form, but have NEVER HAD A CLAIM FOR ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT.)

Embrace is the best! 10 out of 10!!!
Embrace is the 2nd insurance company Ive purchased & am exceptionally pleased with every aspect of this company! My 5 month old irish wolfhound "Dexter" was diagnosed at 9 weeks old with a staph infection. It spared no area of his body. He was itchy & swollen everywhere! I have been taking him to the vet every 2 weeks for more antibiotics (due to his rapid weight gain) & as long as I remember to fill out & fax the claim form everything is covered. I have never even received a phone call from anyone, regarding these claims. After I met my deductible, they have covered everything & I do mean everything including probiotics & anti-itch medicine. We've been so impressed that we even bought a policy for our 6 year old rescue chihauhau!!! He's even had an accident claim when he fell down the stairs in our living room. Irish wolfhound puppies are very clumsy!

Very Satistifed
I picked Healthy Paws after extensive research a couple years ago. My cat had some very major medical issues that were costly, and I hoped to avoid such costs in the future. After two years, I have been very happy. They were reasonable about assessing preexisting conditions and have responded to claims appropriately and quickly. The monthly cost has been reasonable and very worth it for us. We appreciate the peace of mind of knowing that major issues would be covered in the future, and that we can prioritize care over cost.

Trust broken, false sense of security and BIG RIP
I had 2 dr visit claims I submitted. My vet faxed them the info and receipts at least 15 pages 10 times! Every time they said they didn't get it finally went through and they send me a denial letter saying it was a prexisting condition and not covered. They only listed 1 claim and there was 2 submitted. The service sucks so bad. At least 45 MINUTE WAIT to talk to anyone. Operates have no clue how to help. I'm so sick of 24 petwatch. I am giving up $200 I should be reimbursed!! Im done with them I don't know about the other services but the insurance isn't worth a dime!!!

Payment Policy
The coverage seems fair, and competitive with other plans.
But, buyer beware, they only accept automatic deduction payments from your checking account or from a credit card, and they offer NO way to change the date of the auto-deduct. If you call Customer Service (even with plenty of time ahead of your payment date), they will advise that the day of the month that you started your policy will forever be your auto-deduct date. NO exceptions, and there is NO way to request another date instead. So, if your auto-deduct is on the 3rd of the month, and that is hard for you to manage with rent, etc., there is no way to request the auto-deduct at a different time in the month.
Currently, I feel TRAPPED. I explained that due to a medical emergency, my funds were a little low, but with my next paycheck, I can easily cover the premium amount. All I asked for was a 2-day delay of payment. I was told this is impossible.
That does not convey good customer service to me, and may be something you want to consider when comparing plans.

Back to normal
First of all I had hoped never to use the Embrace policy we purchased to cover our dog. Chloe our Chihuahua-Italian Greyhound mix broke her front leg in August. The break required surgery with insertion of metal plate and screws.Very expensive procedure with many follow up visits over eight weeks. Embrace settled the claim promptly and without hassle. Chloe is back to her normal self . Thanks Embrace

Great insurance, excellent service
I have had my insurance on my 2 dogs for over 7 years and was hoping never to have to use it but August 14th, my male mini doxie was ill. ASPCA pet insurance has been wonderful--claims were processed timely and I love the new direct deposit--no waiting for mailed payments. I also liked the friendly follow-up by Bob on 10/5. I have nothing but good things to say about your company.
