I bought Healthy Paws coverage for my female German shepherd after a terrible cancer scare that cost me more than $2,000 in a week’s time. The local vets were wrong and we were elated when the specialists at UPenn told us she was just fine. Of course, that didn’t help our bank account. We were still out all that money on a misdiagnosis. During the short time that we thought we would lose our little girl, my husband and I were numb and discussing ways to come up with the money to at least try to save her-including taking a mortgage on our home. I know that sounds crazy to some people, but I know the dog people shopping for insurance will totally get it. I now have my new puppy insured as well and I’m almost afraid to point this out (as the great folks at Healthy Paws will of course see this) but Healthy Paws has actually paid back more in claims than I have paid in premiums. Most recently to have a “non-stuffed” stuffed animal removed from my puppy’s stomach. Yes, he ate the unstuffed kind. Of course, there are a lot of choices out there besides Healthy Paws. I know someone who had insurance through another company and he said he finally cancelled it after they did not pay a single claim. I sent him a link to Healthy Paws. Customer service is excellent. Claims are paid extremely fast. !!! I could go on and on, but the fact of the matter is I no longer have to feel that tightness in my stomach when I am facing an emergency with my dogs. I don’t have to worry about mortgaging my house just as we are hitting retirement age. Healthy Paws is there for us.

With all the worry I was having over the health of my dog Buddy I am so glad I that I didn't have to worry about where the money would come from to pay for his vet care. Having this insurance gave me such a piece of mind especially when it came down to the day Buddy couldn't breathe, I didn't have to debate about cost or worry if this was the end of days for my very close companion- I have been at the vets and had to watch family's go through that and it's horrible and I have had to do that with other smaller animals that I have had but now that this has been my first dog that has been all mine I will never have another dog without insurance- thanks pets best!!!

We joined Healthy Paws last summer shortly after getting our new English Mastiff puppy. Like many, I've become a little jaded over the years with insurance companies pointing to the small print for reasons to not support a claim. Our experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing short of outstanding and I have been so relieved not only at the turn around time, but the clarity of the program. I want to take thus opportunity to thank the folks at Healthy Paws who have been incredibly responsive and kind with our claims and calls.

Working with the vet's office and Embrace has been quite easy! We received a decent chunk of our bill back in reimbursement which was quite satisfying. My only qualm is the paper exchange. If it could be done electronically, it would save some hassle. Overall, nice job Embrace!

Do not understand why the claim was denied

I adopted a new kitty and shortly thereafter purchased PetsBest insurance on her. Within a few short weeks, she was having difficulty breathing so we visited the vet. Unfortunately with a diagnosis of Pleural Effusion, of which there is no cure, we had to put her to sleep. I sent my bills to PetsBest, they processed the claim in a timely manner and....my reimbursement was a total surprise. They paid a very large piece of my claim. I was extremely happy with the service and reimbursement.

Received return in a timely manner. Reporting the claim was simple, efficient.

I was completely shocked how user friendly the claims process is on the website.

The speedy response and processing is awesome. My dog has laryngeal paralysis and he had to have surgery to help him breathe and this is a fairly lengthy recovery time and with all the problems up to the surgery date, complications on surgery date and then reschedualling the surgery- I have not focused on the things I normally would have like getting my paperwork done in a timely manor so I REALLY appreciate your speedy response as I really needed the money asap and you guys came through for me-thank you!!!
