It's always a hassle to get trupanion to pay their part if he bill while at the hospital. So I'm stuck with paying the whole bill then trying to get my money back. It's a problem.

Reliable for taking payments, not much else

Unfortunately, I have had a series with poor experiences with Embrace so far, though I was initially enthusiastic about what they had to offer. My pets do have pre-existing conditions, but the extent of which Embrace has defined that is unbelievable. My cat that was tentatively (not definitively) diagnosed with IBD to explain a single bout of vomiting, whom had had few incidents with vomiting in the past, was defined as not covered not only for IBD, but for "vomiting" as a PERMANENT condition. Vomiting is not a pre-existing condition, it is a symptom, and I am shocked that Embrace is treating it as the former (I can understand the IBD even though my vet had noted at the time that she wasn't sure my cat had that at all). If a pet is sick, nine times out of ten, something is either coming out one end of the other, and to exclude any and all conditions that include vomiting as a symptom is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Embrace did eventually agree to cover one of my cat's surgeries after receiving additional information from my vet re-explaining that she had suffered from an intestinal obstruction (even though this was also explained in the extensive medical notes sent to Embrace at the time of the incident). I was grateful for this, because at the time, it was the only thing I had to show for the $70+/month I was paying for insurance coverage that I wasn't receiving on any of my claims. However, following that, every claim that comes through for my cat has required varying amounts of hoop-jumping on the part of myself or my veterinarian. Her post-surgery follow up visits were not initially covered citing "no coverage for pre-existing condition of IBD", even though the surgery had nothing to do with IBD or anything related. I was eventually able to get all this resolved by talking to Alissa T, who took the time to not only re-review the most recent claim I was having to dispute, but to go back and look at all the others too after giving me her direct contact info in the case of any more mishaps. She was very helpful and has thus far been the only representative I've spoken to who has been truly responsive and easy to work with (I've had a couple of incidents where I have sent emails to the claims department with questions or concerns and they have just never been responded to). I have heard good things about Embrace and I hope that I can see these things in action moving forward, as I think that (were I not experiencing all the is

The BEST Insurance Company

From the day I signed up until now they have been absolutely wonderful in every aspect of their company. Each customer service representative I have encountered has been helpful, knowledgeable and extremely polite. I chose Healthy Paws based on all the previous reviews I had seen, the affordable price, and the outstanding service they provide. My poor girl was diagnosed with Ideopathic Epilepsy last September and I was such a mess worrying about her and how I would afford her treatment (as most of you pet parents know). I was so thankful that I had Healthy Paws to help me along the way. They made things easy for me and talked me through the process wherever I had questions regarding what my policy covered and what it didn't. Long story short, they covered more than any other insurance company I have come across with no cap annually. I also loved that their policy is an annual deductible, not per claim. Reimbursement was quick and easy - which I was very thankful for. Shortly after my first claim with them, my dog tore her ACL and needed surgery and physical therapy. All of this was covered by my insurance with Healthy Paws. They checked in on her and sent emails to find out how she was recovering; this warmed my heart to know what a caring company I chose. I can not say enough great things aside from - if you're shopping around...you've found the BEST insurance company. Thank you Healthy Paws!

Embrace Insurance - so far GREAT!

I'm a new Embrace customer. I opted for accident/illness plus routine care. I had really positive experiences so far with reimbursement for routine care items. No experience with accident/illness to date. I submitted claims for grooming (nail grind) as well as some preventative vaccines at the vet. Submitting for routine items is REALLY easy, just check the "routine" box in the form and upload it with your itemized receipt. The claim was reviewed and completed within a week, and checks are in the mail.

Healthy Paws Insurance has the best claim process.

Healthy Paws pet insurance is the 3rd insurance company we have had and is by far the best. Very prompt response to claims and inquiries, but the ease of submitting claims is the easiest we've experienced. Open the Healthy Paws App, attach a photo of the Vet invoice, push submit ... Done! Our vet staff were amazed at the simple claim procedure. Thank you Healthy Paws for providing great service. Our 7 yr old Boston Terrier "Rikki" is recovering nicely from the removal of a malignant cyst from his belly.
