Hassle to deal with

After nearly 5 years never submitting a claim, my dog had an accident and injured her leg. I submitted my claim and had the vet send over the past years worth of visit history. Maybe a week later, I was told they never received notes for the visit when they diagnosed her. I explained it wasn't really a visit, I just told them what happened and dropped her off for a blood test. However, I had my vet send over the notes. Again. I don't know if they never received it or were looking for visit notes that didn't exist, but I got another notification they were missing records. I called, and the lady said the information online is never up to date, they probably received it and just never updated it. Well, I asked her to check anyway and it turns out they still didn't have what they needed. The lady was kind enough to call the vet herself who said they'd email her whatever info they had directly, and she would copy me on it when it was received. I never was copied, and eventually almost 2 months later the claim was denied due to insufficient records. I asked my vet 3 times to send information, and I was even there the first time when they did it so I know it was sent. Either someone at PetFirst lost it or they're looking for very specific information that isn't going to exist in any type of medical record, giving them the excuse to deny any claim they want to. If they aren't going to cover what the plan is supposed to cover (accident and illness), then it's not worth spending the money for the insurance. The 5 years worth of payments would have easily covered what I paid for the tests and meds.

The very best pet insurance plan out there!

My pit bull mix was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis in 2011. The past 7 years have been filled with frequent vet visits, monthly lab tests, and a daily regiment of immunosuppressant and other drugs. Throughout this time, Healthy Paws has been there to pay our claims promptly, to provide incredible customer service, and to check in with us periodically to see how our boy is doing. That kind of oncern and customer service is unparalleled, and I know because over the course of my life I have dealt with numerous pet insurance companies! Just two weeks ago, our boy ruptured his left hind CCL, and is about to start a rehab program that will include underwater treadmill and acupuncture therapy, Again, Healthy Paws was there to answer questions about coverage, etc. We are grateful to have found Healthy Paws, and will continue to work with them as long as we have furbabies!

Wonderful!!

Embrace was wonderful in dealing with my claim. I was impressed by the ease of submitting the claim and the almost instant follow-up that I received letting me know the status of my claim. Both the excellent communication and user friendly website make the process simple. Being in the medical profession myself and dealing with insurance companies on a regular basis I can honestly say you will never find a human insurance company (and possible pet insurance company) as helpful as Embrace!

Very happy with Embracs

I have an added wellness plan for my cat, Buddy. Embrace has always been courteous and prompt in approval and reimbursement. It's been that way for the almost three years that we've had Buddy. What more could I ask for? Great company.

Pet insurace is well worth it

We have used our insurance in our first year and 5 1/2 later and they have been awsome. the paperwork is easy to fill out and they keep you posted on the clam.they call or email you to check on your pets recovery and see if they can help with any thing else. they care about you and your pets well beign. deffiently worth the money.

Amazing Insurance!

Healthy Paws has had our back since Wrenley was a puppy. Their app makes claims easy and fast... All you have to do is snap a picture of the vet bill and you're done. No need to print our claim forms or have the vet sign anything. Healthy Paws takes care of it all for you. We really needed them when our 15-month old golden retriever started vomiting uncontrollably a couple weeks ago. We took her to an emergency vet facility and discovers she had an intestinal blockage. We were so worried about her, but we didn't have to worry about how we were going to pay for her care because she was insured through Healthy Paws. Wrenley is fine now, thank goodness, and we don't have to worry about paying for her treatment for months or years. Healthy Paws is peace of mind! We never have to worry about money being a factor in what treatment course to choose.

/we are so appreciative

Our little ShihTzu Blossom has had many physical problems, all of which claims have been paid for by our insurance. We are very happy with ASPCA Pet Insurance. In addition to paying my claims they actually called to see how Blossom was doing after her various surgeries and illnesses. I find that kind of personal touch very unusual and comforting.
