The customer service people are easy to deal with and are friendly. The reason for the four star is because submitting claims needs to be better. I uploaded an itemized invoice to the same claim once I was able to get it from my vet. It wasn't received for some reason, so I had to open a completely new claim for it.

I have had MetLife pet insurance for 3 years
I have had MetLife pet insurance for three years for 1 dog and 2 cats and I have never been disappointed! Submitting claims is easy. Even if you do not have all the info, they will contact your vet and ask for all necessary paperwork. After all is approved they send the money right into your account.

I signed my newly adopted Shih Tsu up…
I signed my newly adopted Shih Tsu up for ASPCA insurance 7/7/2025. I submitted several claims for routine veterinary care and two incidences of ear infections. So far every claim is being questioned, despite my having sent required documentation and providing details in each claim. One claim is being questioned because it "didn't upload correctly," but they have a record of what I submitted, including the detail. I downloaded a copy of it from their website. It appears they're routinely holding everything for "more information from my vet." With the exception of the ear infections and a microchip, everything else has been for required vaccinations and heart worm, flea, and tick medication. I plan to drop this insurance as soon as I can find a decent replacement.

This was an easy and fast process and…
This was an easy and fast process and the plan starts quickly. Also, The Humane Society of Arizona saved my Ollie cat's life where he was listed in fair condition when he arrived. He was a s tray and a good samaritan found him and brought him to the local Human Society. Then, I was looking for a cat to rescue and saw a picture of Ollie who would be up for adoption at PetSmart. (Human Society animals, both cats and dogs were there up for adoption). I had to wait four days until Olle was ready to be adopted but I put a deposit on him. He was the most adorable little kitten, every vet or person that met him loved him, he was just so cute and friendly.
