We have Trupanion for both of our pups and everytime we have had a small issue or big worrisome problem out stress has been eased knowing we will have Trupanion. Out claims are always paid quickly and everyone I've ever dealt with at the company have been so kind and true animal lovers!

We gave an English Bulldog puppy,who has had her share of issues. I can't say enough good things about Trupanion. By far the BEST insurance company I've ever dealt with in any field. Thank you soooooo much for helping with our little fur baby.

My experience has for the most part been positive. I had one situation, and a very costly one, that I thought Trupanion could have stepped up to the plate. They are very tied to "a condition". ie - My pet needed to have a very boxer dental disease of a bleeding epulus and it was determined that she would need to ungergo a general anestetic to remove the oral masses. At the young age of 4, the vet detected a slight heart murmur and before he would proceed with the oral surgical work, which required, anasthesia, he prescibed the following diagnostics: complete blood panel, urinalysis, chest radiographs, ECG and an echocardiogram with a board certified cardiologist. Dr. Goldfarb stated to Trupanion that "The echocardiogram and cardiac work up was performed by Kristen McDonald at the Animal Care Center on 8/16/13. The ECG, chest radiographs and echocardiogram are considered diagnostic tests for the purpose of Lilly going under anesthesia and removing the oral masses. The cardiology report clearly states that "Lilly presents for aneststhesia clearance". Trupanion denied the singular claim and concluded that the ECG was a separate condition and applied the separeate deductible to the ECG even tho our vet wrote and said that it was a diagnostic test required for the anastesia. The cardiology report also stated that "Lilly presents for anastesia clearance", which is was the diagnostic procedure requied. Trupanion did not live up to their claim that "diagnostics" would be considered one claim. I was very disappointed that they considered this another "condition" rather than a diastonic test for a prescribed procedure. The deductible tab was over $500. for a "new condition". Otherwise, we have been pleased with their prompt response for other "conditions", but be careful how you "present" as they can worm around.

Easy claim process and prompt payment.

I recently signed up for pet insurance with Trupanion. What a difference from my previous plan I had. My dog was ill less than 2 weeks ago and a few days ago I was informed my claim had been processed and that they were placing a cheque in the mail. Wow what service. I previously had a different plan, however, each year they reassessed and increased the premium and lowered percentage covered claiming it was for a cost of inflation in the area I lived as well as based on usage in the prior year. If my dog had claims the previous year you could bet the percentage and premium would change......not fair. So glad I have switched to trupanion. I have choosen the top end plan but I truly know my pet and I are protected if he gets ill. In addition, trupanion sends you emails along the way about how your claim is progressing so you know they are working hard for you. It would usually take 6 weeks to get a check back from my previous pet insurance company and it was always for a stinking small amount.

I had pet health insurance many years ago and was very unhappy with their handling of a claim. I felt they were very happy to collect their premiums but disinclined to pay for any claims. Trupanion has changed my attitude completely.

The experience with Trupanion has been wonderful. Since the day I signed up a year ago, to filing a claim recently and adding another kitty, every time I've called I speak to someone who really cares. The coverage was so easy to set up. The choice and amount of deductable/ or no deductable. I was so pleased with the quickness of re-embursment...90%! Quicker and easier than other kind of insurance issues. I am so thrilled with Trupanion. Anyone with cats or dogs they love should enroll their animals. I advise everyone. Just yesterday when I had car work done, the cashier got one of my speeches.She has English Bull Dogs. I wrote "Trupanion" on the paperwork for my $1000.00 charges. I want everyone to know how Terrific Trupanion is. Thank You! I wish I lived where you folks are located. I'd bring flowers!

We have a nine month old puppy who has had a variety of illness from gastro to pneumonia to suspected leg disease. In the first 30 day free trial he got sick and our vet bill was over 700.00 dollars. Trupanion paid 90 percent of all bills except the vet visit. The check was in the mail within a week of the forms submitted. They have paid for exrays, medication. They have always been helpful and seem genuinely concerned about my pet. This is my first experience with pet insurance and now I wouldn't be with out it.
