PB did exactly what they contracted to do

Up front: I'm suspicious of insurance companies with their legalese, small print sub-sections and light toned type on p.3. PetsBest gave the lie to suspicions. They did exactly what they contracted to do, greatly easing the $1200 bite of an 18-hr weekend ER visit for my labradoodle. Thank you, PB!

Compare insurance companies

I would recommend checking several other companies before going with AKC insurance. I used AKC for about a year before ending my contract. They covered absolutely nothing. Any labs that were done, AKC said it was a pre-existing condition and wouldn't cover costs. It would be cheaper to save a little every month on your own to cover unexpected costs that way. Our labrador was having some hair thinning on his flanks and the vet recommended a thyroid test. AKC wouldn't cover any of the visit or laboratory costs because they said he has a pre-existing condition (overweight). However, we drew the labs due to symptoms: weight gain, thinning of fur. I would check with other companies on how they handle labs and what they consider "pre-existing."

Do not waste your money

Out of 2 claims both were disqualified . I have paid them more than I paid the Vet for my dogs surgery.

Best. Insurance. Ever.

After researching numerous pet insurance companies, I found that Healthy Paws was the best fit for our furry family. It was very easy to sign up and even easier to navigate their app. Within 2 months of adopting Duncan, he needed knee surgery. I submitted all of his vet receipts and within the month I had a reimbursement of 90% direct deposited into my bank account. If it wasn't for the awseome coverage offered from Healthy Paws, I would be 2 grand in the hole. Don't hesitate when it comes to pet insurance...Don't hesitate in choosing Healthy Paws.

SPOT review...

We have been choosing insurance for our toy poodle Rosie for a very long time. We decided to choose the insurance company SPOT. Compared to other insurances, this company is better andalso cheaper; has a 90% coverage: accidents, illnesses and plus the health of the puppy. We have already had two complaints about our visits to veterenary clinic and insurance covered it, we are absolutely delighted. The claims were reviewed and reimbursed in a short time! We are very glad that we have chosen this insurance!

Excellent Coverage

Having a 6 year old golden retriever that unfortunately has EVERYTHING wrong him Trupanion has been a life line! Over the last few weeks we've dealt with cluster seizures (twice), uveitis, hypoalbuminemia and a foreign body which required emergency surgery. Trupanion has covered all of it. Yes, the premiums can be a bit high and do increase but if you have a dog with as many issues as mine has it's a small price to pay to be able to provide him with the best care possible.

I feel safer having the insurance in case something happens to my dog but I sure am not happy with the cost.

I feel safer having the insurance in case something happens to my dog but I sure am not happy with the cost. Fourteen yrs. ago it was $34.00 a month. Pretty expensive now for a senior don't you think to have to pay to make sure your pet is looked after as we both age
