High deductible, high monthly payments Initially it is a great plan. As your pet gets older and has been on this plan from 8 weeks old it gets very expensive. You cannot start over with a new company at 7 years since it would be even more costly.

Having Trupanion pet insurance is the reason I have my pet today! When the doctor came to us with the diagnosis, we were able to immediately move forward with the recommended treatment because we had a plan to financially cover it. We never had to give it a second thought!

It took a very short time once I sent my claim in. They are an honest company with everything they post. I can't believe how much they are paying me back. I will never switch from this company.

Only 12 weeks of coverage for alternative care
When my policy renewed this year, I was informed that alternative treatments (which include physical therapy, massage, laser treatment, and hydrotherapy, among others) is now limited to 12 weeks. 12 weeks of physical therapy is nothing if your dog has a major injury. I will absolutely NEVER recommend Embrace again. This is a huge change to the policy and I am extremely shocked and disappointed in them. One of the main reasons I chose Embrace was their coverage of alternative and experimental treatments. I will absolutely not ever start a new policy with any future dogs on Embrace again.

Fantastic
I had not had Healthy Paws for that long when my dog got a bowel obstruction. The surgery was NOT cheap! Healthy paws reimbursed me quite a chunk and it was in my bank account within a week! Not to mention the monthly cost is very affordable. I’m grateful to have had Healthy Paws!

While I understand deductibles need to be met it seems that with every claim I have ever submitted for any of my pets has been denied. I am beginning to consider cancelling this insurance as we keep paying monthly premiums and never getting a claim reimbursed.
