Easy claim process and quick reimbursement
I've had Healthy Paws for my Frenchie since I brought him home as a puppy. I found their rates to be very competitive and their plans comprehensive. Healthy Paws gets high marks for ease of making claims, it literally takes minutes on the app, as well as very timely reimbursements, sometimes same day for small claims. Recently my Frenchie had surgery for a disk herniation which was our first large claim. HP reviewed it and the check was sent 3 weeks later, thus I was very pleased with their responsiveness. They even emailed me checking on how he was recovering. The only thing is my Frenchie will be 6 years old, and there were some significant premium rate increases in the last couple years, and I'm concerned it will happen again after the recent large claim. It is quite possible that this is common with many pet insurance plans, so something to consider.

costly insurance with little benefits
I've been paying for two dogs with true companion for quite a few years now. I never do get a chance to take advantage of insurance because either it hasn't covered a copay limit or the prescriptions that are needed for other stuff isn't covered or the latest when cuddles had they have abscessed teeth surgically removed and treated over and above what a normal cleaning would be. that wasn't covered and then when Bella had to have an x-ray because of issues with their stomach and it shows that her liver enzymes are elevated the sonogram wasn't covered and the medication for this which might be a lifelong treatment for her. so really what's the point of me having this insurance with this company to pay over $300 a month for years? well I think it's time for me to start shopping for another company.

You just never know when u might need it
We have 2 Boston terriers and this ins has allowed us to give them the best care possible especially when the unexpected things occur like a negligent vet causes your pup to need emergency surgery extracting 10 teeth and graft part of her jaw..I will never own a dog again without insurance worth every penny!!
