Peace of Mind
Except for the increasing monthly insurance costs every year, I’ve been pleased with the timely payments.

I have received very little reimbursement from Trupanion 12 years.
I have received very little reimbursement from Trupanion 12 years. I just sent in paid bills and was told it was only partially going to be reimbursed because it was a teeth cleaning. My Paris had an infection with swollen face. Her Prozac and trazadone is never covered. She is an old girl now and I have paid her insurance since I rescued her. Not a great plan.

Between cost of insurance level of service coverage options and timely payments you deserve a 10 out of 10.

Great service with handling my claims
I’m extremely happy with the service, direct billing, how my dog is looked after in a timely manner. Great company and I’ve given the company name to many pet owners.

Deceitful.
Do not go with FIGO. I have been paying ~$50/month to insure my healthy 4 year old rescue dog. We adopted her in Feb 2020, submitted all known vet records to FIGO, and they happily allowed me to enter into a plan and collect my monthly premium. Of course, the first instance we take her to the vet and file a claim (which would just have put us at our deductible), they email saying the require more detailed notes and SOAP notes. I copied our vet on the email thread and have sent every lick of paperwork available on our dog over to FIGO and it is still not enough for them to cover anything. I find it intentionally deceitful that they would allow us to enter into a policy knowing full well that they did not have the back records that they would require to ever actually be of service to us. Also, we had FIGO for our last dog who has since passed. She went to the same vet as our current dog, and we never had an issue with her vet notes lacking detail. The reporting hasn't changed, but perhaps the management of FIGO has. 0/10, waste of money and waste of time.

No one told me I couldn't lower my deductible down the road
No one who was on the call with me at when deciding the policy at Trupanion told me that I cannot lower my deductible down the road and I'm thinking that zero-low deductible policy would've been what I needed to get for my cat. Now I have a policy stuck for life that I cannot touch and I'm not happy with.
