The process was easy - however the fact that the insurance does not cover the standard ER fee is ridiculous. Counted it as an “exam” on our claim. Would be hesitant to recommend Trupanion after being loyal customers for four years and finding this out on our first claim.

My Medical Nightmare gets a chance at life
My dog Blue is alive today because of Trupanion. Between the quick claims process, to the fact they pay my vet direct in seconds, has made all the difference in the world. My dog is a walking pharmacy, has needed multiple surgeries, treatments, diagnostics and more. Blue is my first dog as an adult, and I never thought for a second I could have a pet that was this sick. No one knows how many ailments she has, because she looks amazing because of the great job her veterinary teams have done and have been able to do because the bill wasn't a problem for me. Over $60,000 in claims and climbing, and my girl has the best life she could ever dream for. I am 1000% thankful for Trupanion.
