On the plus side the claims process is pretty easy. Better still - and this may say more about our current society's sorry state - I was delighted that when I called with questions I actually got a LIVE HUMAN (Aubrey) with excellent language skills. I did not have to wait forever online. The rest of the good news is that actually filing a claim is amazingly easy, and the review and results are done quickly. The process was very efficient. Overall, I'm glad we have the insurance.

I've never used it but paid for it for six years. The threshold seems really high for receiving any money back. The dog has to get teeth pulled and it seems like trupanion won't cover it.

Trupanion is absolutely the very best pet insurance.
Trupanion is absolutely the very best pet insurance. Calls are always answered promptly, by friendly caring ladies, and gentlemen... who make you feel like you are the only customer they have. Invoices are paid within a few days, and the Emergency Veterinarian Hospital, paid direct. For more than 12 years Trupanion has been there for our doggie (Princess), and kitty (Meow); who passed on 11/18/20. Our veterinarian promptly submitted the last bill for Meow to Trupanion. It took me a few days to call Trupanion about Meow.... The lady I spoke with was very supportive, and compassionate. She told me they had taken care of everything. Meow's policy had been cancelled on the 18th., the premium was prorated for the month of November, and a refund check was issued. Totally unexpected. The kindness did not end there... a few days later we received a beautiful hand written sympathy card in the mail from Trupanion. Very much appreciated, during a very difficult time. I refer everyone I meet (who owns a fur baby) to Trupanion. I tell them if you really care for your babies, you need to buy Trupanion. Princess, and I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone at Trupanion, June Lewis

Trupanion is great.
Trupanion is great. I think for some people they may not be able to care for their pet because of financial reasons. I would never judge their decisions as I have not walked in their moccasins.. But with trupanion, it allows you to take care of your pet under any circumstance.

Pet insurance is totally worth the fee!
We’ve had dogs for the past 50 years and never had pet insurance — spent so much on various illnesses, surgeries, etc. Finally signed up for insurance for our present dog and it’s totally worth the cost. Our dog developed a dietary issue that meant prescription medicine. Trupanion has come through for each bill.

Best insurance experience ever! My dog had 2 knee surgeries in 6 months and with all the medications she’s taking everyday, it was a lot of money. Trupanion covered 90% with no questions asked. Every claims was quick and worry free. Best experience ever!
