I personally really liked that when I received a cheque in the mail for my claim there was instructions on the envelope on how to set up direct deposit.

informative without being pushy
The gentleman who helped me was informative, but not pushy. I had called Nationwide first, but the gentleman whom I spoke to at Nationwide wasn’t friendly & was extremely pushy. I called Trupanion just planning on getting cost & coverage options, but was so impressed with how helpful and unpressured I felt that I signed up during my first call with Trupanion.

My puppy got diarrhea and ear infection a month ago. It’s my first time having a puppy and the cost really shocked me coz it was a thousand. Luckily I purchased my insurance last December and I got reimbursed with the 80% after my deductible in less than an hour. I was kinda skeptical about pet insurances but I learned that it’s really a necessity if you have a pet dog. Infairness to Furkin, the premium is the most reasonable premium that I found and their coverage is great. I really recommend it.

Everyone should have pet insurance!
I was on the fence about getting pet insurance when I adopted my 2 cats and puppy. But my vet tech talked me into it, saying if I could put my money in one place it should be pet insurance. Because it covers the unknowns. The emergencies. So I sat down and spoke with a rep from trupanion. She was AMAZING. I signed them up at different deductible amounts, And then put their deductible costs directly into my savings incase I ever needed to use them. Well...that was in December, and last week it happened. Just a few months after signing them up, my sweet Snickers developed pancreatitis, and had to spend a week at the emergency hospital. Without trupanion I would have never been able to afford her care. They covered 90% of my bill, after I paid my deductible and the initial exam fee. Because of this insurance, her life was saved. And honestly...just this ONE trip to the emergency vet, and her insurance has paid for itself for YEARS already. If there is one thing you can do...get pet insurance. And be responsible and set aside the deductible amount into your savings account where it won't be touched. That way you are prepared on your end, and you only have to worry about the 10% thats not covered.
