Trupanion has become our lifesaver, a reliable best buddy, you name it. My dog Jack has recently had a slew of consecutive health issues that began with seizures late one night. Hospital after hospital, appointments, tests, medications and Trupanion has been there for us through ALL of it. Trupanion approves the claim then pays the hospital directly for their portion, without hesitation. No paperwork for you and no waiting for reimbursement. Don't be fooled thinking you can't afford pet insurance. As a fixed income, retiree, Trupanion's flexibility allows me to choose the cost of the deductible by what I can afford for a monthly premium. There is a plan for every budget.

Pet Insurance Review
My dog means the world to me. I ensure all my belongings are insured. Of course I'm going to insure my beloved dog. I highly recommend Pets Plus to ensure the health and safety of Paxton. Rates are reasonable and benefits are priceless.

Helpful
Trupanion has our three dogs insured. The rates have gone up and as pensioners we are now finding it hard but I would not, not have it. They have been great in covering costs with veterinary costs. Thank you

BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE! READ THE FINE PRINT! Healthy Paws will hide behind its policies to deny claims, no matter how unreasonable and despite letters from veterinarians to the contrary. But they are very happy to take your premium payments for many years. One short email from them requesting initial medical records as a gating item would have saved me thousands of dollars. Shameful.

We're sorry you were not satisfied with your plan. We do our best to be transparent throughout our website, during the enrollment process, and in the plan documents available to each client in their online Healthy Paws account regarding the limited exclusions of our plan. Those exclusions are pre-existing conditions, preventative/routine care, and the office visit fee (veterinary exam fee). Anyone visiting our website can see this information under our "Frequently Asked Questions" and in the sample plan. As per the plan we do require medical records for all enrolled pets to process claims, including a copy of the required enrollment examination. In situations where there is not a ton of medical history available, at minimum we require the notes from the enrollment exam as outlined in your plan documents to process claims. Based upon the medical records for your pet, we could not provide coverage for the claims in question due to it falling into one of the limited plan exclusions.
MetLife sucks bucks! Avoid!
MetLife for pets is bogus! Ponzi scheme to take money and deny claims based on invalid reasons! They will side with misinformation and call claims denied in the face of incontrovertible evidence. They love "precondition" when the evidence is otherwise. Don't fall for we protect your fur babies! MetLife needs to be held accountable for not honoring their policies! What a joke! Avoid Avoid and file complaints with the Attorney General! Paid out more money for no protection based on a typo! MetLife for Pets is fraudulent as the comments from countless others prove.

Claims and Cost
I was very skeptical about buying pet insurance but went for it when I rescued my dog. She was approx 1 year at the time of rescue and discovered quickly she had severe anxiety issues. She is also a very energetic dog, loves to run and play. She has required surgery on both hind legs to repair cruciate ligament tears (human version is ACL). I had purchased the injury/illness policy with a $500 deductible and 90% coverage (thankfully!!) She needs daily anxiety medications as well as monthly injections to help keep her joints healthy. Each surgery was close to $10k. Both surgery's and all her prescription medications are covered at 90% without question. I can honestly say, this was the best pet related decision I have ever made. The policy prices are reasonable and I have never had any claim questioned or denied. I don't find the general coverage policy worth the money, if you're really diligent about submitting the claims it might wash out at the end of the year but the injury/illness policy is a must have in your back pocket!

Best Pet Insurance...so far
Many Pets has been so awesome! What's really nice is they give you a break when it comes to pre-existing conditions. Meaning after so many months not having any issues, they wipe the slate clean and it's no longer pre-existing. Cooper has been doing well with not having to go to the vet for his allergy (pre-existing) issues. The customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. and I've been with a few other plans. So YES!!! on "Many Pets" they are in my book one of the best Pet Insurance companies out there!!!
