Be smart get insurance

I have had metlife for 3 years now, and with 3 dogs its a money saver! my only complaint is sometimes the claims take a long time, and every now and then a claim will attach to the wrong policy and that delays the approval process. otherwise getting pet insurance was the smartest thing i did. I save thousands with having 3 dogs.

Decided to change pet insurance and chose Pumpkin because of the coverage I was looking for and the price was not much more than my prior insurance.

Raised rates 150% in one year with no history of claims

Terrible Company - they try to get rid of older pets by tripling the rates when the animal ages - this is after 7!years with them and no claims

Flexible Options

I appreciated that Pumpkin listed standard options for insurance, but also allowed flexibility to customize insurance to best suite my needs.

I feel like the insurance was too high and it didn't have all the all of the all of the items to you know all of the benefits and it took them 14 days for deposit you know too too long for the policy to the start

Satisfied with amount of money reimbursed and the amount of covered items/procedures, though I do wish the monthly premium was a smidge lower.

Felt like retaliation

I’ve had Embrace for 9 years. The rates appear to go up yearly. A few months ago i sent a note telling them their automated system misdiagnosed my dog’s problem. Almost immediately someone at Enbrace contacted my veterinarian and requested my dog’s entire medical record. I was cc’d. They then denied my claim of lameness for reimbursement of Carprofen, stating that the med was for treating a pre-existing diagnosis. I recently contacted them and asked that they find a way to lower my monthly premium. She agreed, lowered the premium $20 but in exchange I had to agree to a higher deductible. I am seriously looking for a different insurance company.

Discount code applied for existing plan

I had a AAA reward code to use for 10% off of a pet insurance plan. However, I would have had to do it as a new member if I had just done it from the AAA website. I contacted Spot & AAA to find out how to apply the reward code to my existing plan and Spot went ahead and applied the reward code on the spot
