Nationwide has been great insurance but but the price keeps going up. With 3 dogs getting older it is getting expensive.

I totally agree.
Very disappointed. My monthly fee is going up from 55$ to 90$!!
Very disappointed. I'm in my first year. I took out the insurance when my pet was a baby and I trusted the advertising that they wouldn't make absurd increases. But I've just received an email informing me that my monthly fee is going up from 55$ to 90$. This is complete nonsense, a lack of sense. It's almost double the amount for a pet that's a year and a bit old. Imagine when it's 8, 9 years old. Prepare your pockets, friends. When I called customer service, they told me that they had studied my pet's breed and had to change the price. If they hadn't done this before, do I have to pay? I don't even know if an increase of this level is legally possible, but I'm going to do some research to make sure they're not infringing on my rights as a consumer.

Dental Procedure Costs
My dog had dental X-Rays in January 2023. Ended up having 2 additional teeth removed (my dog never had a set of X-Rays taken and due 1 tooth falling out unexpectedly my vet recommended the X-Rays). I feel that ALL PET OWNERS SHOULD HAVE PET INSURANCE. Yes it is 1 more bill to pay each month; however, if your pet needs a surgery/procedure done that is costly, the pet insurance will help big time! The dental procedure for my dog without insurance to help me out would have been a little over $1,300.00 out of my own pocket! Who has money like that just sitting around??? With Nationwide Insurance, I pay my monthly premium (premium amount depends on the dog age and general health), after the $250 deductible is paid, Nationwide Pet will pay 90% of the claim and the owner only pays 10% of the claim. With my pet insurance through Nationwide Pet, I was able to afford to have my dog have dental X-Rays, plus have 2 bad teeth pulled out.
Roxy's disc rupture
Our dog had a disc rupture. One second she was chasing her ball, the next her right leg was paralyzed. The staff at Healthy Paws were very kind, answering all my questions about my policy. They covered almost all of Roxy's surgery, and yesterday said Roxy's post - surgery rehab will be covered if she needs it. I am so grateful. The premiums are very reasonable, and worth every dime. Save your family from having to make a terrible choice because of the cost of emergency care, and get Healthy Paws insurance for your pet!
Healthy Paws is the best
Within two days of my dog's surgery I submitted a claim to Healthy Paws. Within 24 hours after that I received a message saying my claim was being processed. Within two more days the message I received outlined the result of the process and the amount of reimbursement that would be coming to me. Today, no more than a week, if that, of submission, I received a check for an amount that made the monthly payments for insurance more than worth it. This kind of service is almost unheard of these days for anything, let alone an insurance claim of any sort. This company is the best.
Worst Pet Insurance Ever
As a dog parent you would expect some sorta reimbursement from an insurance company since that's what they list on there job as an insurance company. All the claims we would submit would get denied for any sort of refund. This is the example of a fraudulent marketing tactic to get 55 dollars a month for absolutely nothing. My wife and I have called because we do exactly what they ask us as far as medical receipts from the visits. I want a refund for the months we paid since we didn't even get any moneys worth from this product. Please dont waist your time nor money with these people.
Healthy Paws Fantastic Service/Coverage/Cost
I'm so thankful we chose Healthy Paws for our dog Wolfgang's health insurance when he was just a puppy! The contract was straightforward to understand -- and Healthy Paws has ALWAYS reimbursed what we agreed to and the percentage. There's no fine print loopholes, which is a tremendous relief. The on-line claim submission is easy and reimbursements happen quickly -- usually within a week! Amazing. Premiums have risen, proportionate to overall cost of veterinary care. We were told upfront this would happen, but it would not be increased due to any claims. I've found this to be true. Our first claim was after a bad car accident and Wolfgang was seen at an emergency vet. It was pretty late in a traumatic day so I called in the hopes someone could walk me through the process. A lovely, compassionate woman answered the phone and got the ball rolling. Rehab was recommended after the complex surgery, and Healthy Paws covered the number of visits the vet recommended. I am certain this is why Wolfgang doesn't have mobility issues at nearly 10 years old! Eight years later, Wolfgang is having GI issues that our primary vet recommended we see a specialist for. Healthy Paws is still covering what we agreed to in the policy, in a timely manner and with compassion. If you're looking for pet health insurance (and you really should) Healthy Paws is the best company to use.

Stay Away from Trupanion
Horrible company. Supervisor just told me their relationship with area hospitals is more important than the patients & account holders. I pay alot every month for my dogs to have insurance. But they rather my dog suffer than them address an issue. Shame on Trupanion!
