Small monthly premium is well worth my peace of mind knowing I can afford care

I have many friends who are dog lovers and I always encourage them to buy HealthyPaws insurance for their pets. I am a firm believer of insurance and just cannot understand why every pet owner does not have it. What does a premium cost - one dinner out a month etc. Our friends just bought your insurance and I am in the process of convincing a family member. Thank you for your fantastic insurance and quality/professional employees.

better insurance than people insurance

I've had healthy paws insurance for almost five years now for my dog Dexter. It's been the wisest investment I've made in years. The policy and protection are first rate. The cost is very reasonable. The claims process is quick and easy. Plus they have paid without issue on every single claim. I will be with them for life for all my pets.

Outstanding coverage at a great cost

I feel as if the insurance coverage is great. Just when you think you don't need it something goes wrong with your pets health or an accident happens. Worth the little extra money to know my dog is covered!

Fast and efficient

Embrace pet insurance is the best money I ever spent on my cat. It took less than 10 business days to get my reimbursement. 100% of the expenses were deemed eligible, and after my small deductible I received 80% as my reimbursement. My deductible was smaller because my pet had gone a few years with just wellness visits, not an illness or injury visit.

Would recommend

I would recommend (and have done so) Trupanion to others looking for pet insurance for several reasons: 1. When my dog's life was in balance, having pre-approved Trupanion coverage ensured that we could get the care for him that we would not have otherwise been able to afford. 2. In most instances, the responses and payments have been prompt 3. The Trupanion insurance is not pro-rated for your dogs age 4. Trupanion does not place ceilings on the dollar amount of a yearly total or a total for certain drugs as I know other insurance companies do. However... 1. The premiums for Trupanion are high, putting them above what many pet owners can afford This would be reason that I would hesitate to recommend Trupanion to others...the cost restraint.

Didn't Think I Needed Insurance, But Boy Was I Wrong

When I purchased this insurance a couple of years ago it was because I was reading about all the canine cancer among my dog owner friends and I didn't want to ever have to make decisions based on money. Thank goodness we haven't had that issue, but in the past two years our Joey was diagnosed with seizure disorder. The cost of the ER bills, regular vet visits, routine bloodwork and meds was more than I could have imagined but Embrace has been there all along. Once met my deductible I just filed the paperwork online and my claim was settled, usually in less than a week. My reimbursement goes right to my bank account, lickity-split. This year we had a case of "happy tail" (whacking his long tail against something too hard and it splitting open). We had to have 4 inches of tail removed and once again the claim was handled quickly and easily. Just as with human insurance, you pay every month and wonder why. But when you need it, it's good to know it's there.

I got scammed by Trupanion Pet Insurance

I signed up with Trupanion about one year ago $90. with $250 deductible for each health issue. My dog developed a muscular condition that is on going Trupanion covered me like they promised they would But just this week I got an email from them saying that my coverage is going from $90 to $140 per month. After much complaining they have offered me $99. with $300 deductible When I signed with them they assured me no condition or cost would affect my coverage. I find this so unfair and they have me hook line and sinker because no other pet insurance company will cover his ongoing condition I just want to make people aware of their scam. I am a senior and find this so unfair. A 50% hike is outrageous.

Worst insurance ever

It is a scam insurance ever. I was offered by my new employer to switch from my pet insurance that I have been happy with for 8 years. I was hesitating, but the sales of Nationwide insurance convinced me that it would be a smooth transition and as long as my dog does not have any chronic preexisting conditions that she has been medically treated or diagnosed before I should have no issues with any of my routine visits and incidents. Well all of that was a big lie !!!! I took my senior dog to a routine care vet appointment as she was due for some vaccinations and a senior panel blood test. And then did multiple other routine care tests as it was All supposed to be covered and included in my policy. As a result: First, Nationwide took over 2 months to process the claim and then after I had to get a manager involved to expedite the process, they denied with an excuse it was a preexisting condition. Never mind that my dog had no treatments before nor been to the doctor for past 2.5 year and in great shape. The reason they said it was pre-existing, as I mentioned to the doctor that I am noticing some walking pattern change and she had fat deposit growth but no treatment was done for that and needed. Which is a normal patient doctor conversation on the routine visits. But Nationwide decided to use that as a medical conclusion of preexisting conditions and denied all of the claims made. So totaled to about $500-$600. Also the routine dental that was supposed to be covered, they did not cover as well as the doctor wrote in the chart as they were cleaning the teeth there was some tar. Ha ha.! If you would not have tar why would you even clean the teeth in the first place!!!??? As the Nationwide manger explained to me, that since she had it before doing to the doctor, it preexisting. Which means anytime you do to the doctor with your pet, it will be pre-existing as the pet shows the symptoms before the visit. But isn’t why you would go to the doctor in the first place???? So everything they sell is a pure lie and a scam!!! Don’t fall for it and lose so much money as I did!!!!
