Pet insurance has saved my pets’ lives on more than one occasion. My young kitten suffered a potentially fatal urinary blockage, and without a second thought I was able to take him to the hospital and tell them to do anything they needed to do to save him- he was hospitalized with a catheter twice and the third time it happened, within a span of days, the vet stated that he needed a surgery in order to stop this from happening. The alternative was my little kitten’s kidneys shutting down and ending his life. The surgery cost thousands and I was able to move forward with it because of VPI. My cat made a full recovery, is now 3 years old, and I was reimbursed within weeks. In addition to saving my cat, my dog has had a reocurring UTI for over 2.5 months that we are in the process of finding the root cause of- he was recently given the “all clear” of it not being bladder cancer, and we were able to determine that because pet insurance allowed me the peace of mind to make medical decisions based on his health vs my bank account. Within that same time frame, my other dog went into anaphylactic shock in my back yard- another rush to the hospital to save her life and I was able to do it without a thought of the financial burden because of VPI. I’ve been made whole numerous times and my pets are receiving the care they deserve. If you don’t think you need pet insurance for your young or seemingly healthy pet, please research all that this company offers- it isn’t just for accidents. They cover injury, illness, even routine visits. Keep your pet healthy and have that peace of mind!!

Millie was recused from a shelter in January 2016 and she has been a blessing to our family. When we adopted her, we decided to shop around for the BEST pet insurance so that we wouldn't worry about making tough decisions on vet expenses. After receiving several quotes and reading tons of reviews, we decided the BEST and most AFFORDABLE pet insurance was through Nationwide Pet Insurance. This has been the best decision I've ever made! All my claims have been paid shortly after submission, and Customer Service is always helpful and super friendly. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Millie can go to the vet whenever she is feeling poorly or needs surgery and my out of pocket cost is 10% of the total bill. These guys covered THOUSANDS of dollars for our dog's elbow dysplasia - the condition that's rarely covered by insurance companies. We got lucky we chose them! It's such a good feeling to be able to give your dog THE BEST medical care and not worry about the money. Great experience!

Premium is a little high but the coverage is solid.

You guys are awesome.
You guys are awesome. My dog at GUM, xylitol gum, which absolutely kills. Knowing that no matter what the damage was, that I would have some help with the expensive bills put my mind at ease. (We have literally ONE after hours emergency clinic here in Fairbanks, Alaska... so we PAY) He is just fine today, I got lucky :) Thank you, I recommend you guys to everyone I know that is getting a pet~!~~~~!!!!!!

Thank God for Trupanion
I thought insurance was just a precaution. Something I would never need. To my surprise she's had on-going urinary issues. Thank God for Trupanion or I would have been forced to give her up. She is my heart. Without Trupanion I would not have my heart. Many people don't want a sick dog so with Trupanion I'm sure we saved her life together’– I've had 3 friends sign up with Trupanion, they are also very happy.
