they helped me so much with the expense for my baby when she had to have knee surgery`P
I would like to voice my opinion here on Healthy Paws. I must tell you I've never met an insurance company for puppies that are as nice as this group. When I first started with healthy paws, I wasn't that experience with health insurance. I sent them three claims at one time and they walked me through all the claims procedures and help me understand what I was doing. My Westie recently had to have knee surgery. Owning animals, is very expensive and I always worry about the cost. I want my babies to be healthy and happy, that is so important. But when Gracie had to have surgery Healthy Paws helped me through the expenses, I would not have been able to do it on my own. I am a senior and retired and live as all seniors do, at least most of them, from paycheck to paycheck. You want a great company to work with these people are it!

Waste of Money
This is a lot of my fault. It's hard when you're rescuing puppies last minute and they need to see the vet asap. I didn't have time to wait 14 days for the underwriting process and $800 later, Nationwide was not on my side. Then they proceeded to tell me their worms were a "preexisting condition" which is false, they got worms because their previous owner left them in the field to eat poop and mud (didn't even submit this, the customer care individual just wanted to inform me). Make sure you get this way in advance before you start considering pet insurance. At this point, I don't need it and why would I pay $120/per pet if I won't even reach the $250 deductible (per pet) this year. I'll just use another insurance provider when it's time to renew their shots. Gave it a shot and wasted my money. blah

Excellent customer service
Aside from the recent 33% monthly increase which I think is exorbitant, I am generally very pleased with Nationwide. Your customer service is excellent; in fact, the best experience I have ever had with any company on the phone. And the expediency of claims/payments is also excellent. But I will be changing my policy due to the outrageous premium increase.

Zoe and Nationwide
Zoe our lovable maltipoo was due to have dental cleaning. My husband indicated that the cost to get her teeth clean was more than his cleaning :) - luckily Nationwide Pet came to the rescue. We were able to sign up with ease and waited for the activation period. Zoe smiles and has the most beautiful white teeth. Do I recommend this insurance? Of course I do - this is not only inexpensive but also good for our baby. You can see more of Zoe's smile on Instagram tagging Nationwide Pet under EmpressZoeTheMaltipoo

helps keeps furbabies healthy and gives pet parents peace of mind.
I never had pet insurance before so I can't compare to other providers. But I'm so happy with the service I received from nationwide this is my second year. Although it works on a reimbursement basis I'm not as hesitant to incur the expense knowing claims are processed fairly and rapidly. My four footers are getting all the care they need. The Tele-vet service has also given helpful fixes for the problem avoiding unnecessary trips to the vet.

I'm relieved to have Nationwide for my fur baby
It's a bit high in premiums however I've had since Charlie was a puppy and feel confident knowing I can take him to the vet when necessary.

Good decision, good company
Had made decision to insure next kitten years before we got. This insurance was offered through work-never checked any other. Mr. Whiskers was a rescue shelter kitty and was a sick mess so insurance came with some pre-existing conditions that are not covered. (All were cured and have not reappeared) Insurance also does not cover chronic conditions. Fortunately he has none-all issues have been curable. He has a sensitive tummy and will sniff then taste then swallow anything on the floor so we have had a fair share of claims that have all been handled quickly and fair. We pay yearly and it is a rather large chunk of money but so far has been worth it. As most insurance policies I think they make out a bit better than we do but with this kitty you never know what can happen so it is worth the piece of mind. He is 3 years old and remains very happy and reasonable healthy. Claims are very easy to submit on line.

BAD DEAL
IT is absurd that out of $443 only $97 is paid for. and you keep on raising the rates. I have already told others NOT to buy your insurance. I am defineately looking elsewhere.

Honestly not sure what I’d do without this comprehensive insurance
Both my cats (ages 5, 7) and pup (almost 6) are on the comprehensive whole pet with wellness unlimited plans. When I was considering plans I thought maybe this was too much, but if there’s one thing that’s been proven this past year it’s to prepare for the unexpected with vet visits. Between preventative care for my dog to extensive dentals with the cats, a few emergencies, and now the start of a complicated diagnosis with my older cat— Nationwide hasn’t even batted an eye with coverage. They’re always sending check-in emails, refunds are super quick, communication is excellent, and I feel relieved knowing no matter what the cost, my pets will get the care they deserve because I have such solid coverage. Thank you so much, Nationwide! Zelo, Tilly, and Nico appreciate all you do :)
