Great Plans, Great Pricing, Amazingly Easy Claims
I do not leave reviews as often as I should, but Nationwide Pet Insurance is definitely worthy of a review. Their pricing is best, their plans cover the most, the deductible is competitive, and their service is top-notch. I have the My Pet Protection with Wellness plan, which has been honestly perfect for my needs, definitely worth recommending for purebred dog owners. Additionally, I am not a fan of using apps for processing anything financial or forms, but the VitusVet app for submitting claims is beyond user friendly, I submit claims right from my phone in about 2 mins or less. I have claims reimbursements sent as a direct deposit and usually have my reimbursements within a week or two, sometimes within days.. I have zero complaints!

Price Increase
Very disappointed in my year over year increases for my THREE pets on the plan. Almost all of my claims (except an occasional sickness) has been wellness, yet my rates keep increasing. one pet is up to $75/month. I can't afford this anymore and likely have to cancel soon, as I budget out $150/month for all 3 pets. Super disappointed.

Great
Nationwide has been a blessing for me lately. My girl has had several issues in the past several months. After seeing 4 different vets and two surgeries, she is feeling better and on the road to recovery. If Nationwide was not fast with process of claims I am not sure if My dog would have made it. Their quick processing of claims help me pay for the next visit to her doctor and saved me very much money. Thank you Nationwide

Nationwide Is a Great Choice
We've had Nationwide for three years. Claims are paid quickly and deposited directly to our checking account. Policies are easy to read and understand, and customer service has always been helpful. The only reason we rated 9 overall was that they changed their plan pricing this past year making their wellness plan no longer cost effective. Their major medical plan was still a good compromise for us cost-wise though. Would (and have) recommended Nationwide to others looking for pet insurance.

Great pet insurance
Having Nationwide pet insurance on my dog has saved me money and given me a peace of mind on his wellness and unexpected vet care. Filing a claim is easy. Downside: online website is not user friendly and did not like the policy number changed upon renewal.

Hold on to your wallet...astronomical annual rate increases
Been a healthy paws customer since Jan 2012. Initial years with Healthy Paws was good...quick claims, relatively low hassle factor. Then started to get the annual price increases. After 3+ years of no claims, I get a notice today saying that Healthy Paws is raising my rates by 36%....from $66.75 to $90.78. I would understand an increase to compensate for inflation, etc. but 36%. Totally unreasonable. Healthy Paws response will be "vet care is expensive, you can always increase your deductible/reduce your coverage. I'd stay away....they don't recognize long term customers let alone customers who don't have any claims. Submitted claim for Layla's for heartworm and flea/tick control. Processed without issue and received check within the 5-7 business day window I was told. Very satisfied!

Good resource
Overall, Pets Best has been a good resource as our dogs are aging. It's hard to put that in perspective sometimes, when the monthly premium comes out of our account, but having a dog with CHF now will give us a better understanding of what Pets Best can truly offer.
