Fast and easy claim service
Unfortunately I have had to use my pet insurance quite a few times for one of my pets and Nationwide has always been efficient and easy to file a claim with. I recently added a second pet and have suggested them to anyone looking for pet insurance. They have wellness coverage which is amazing and more deductible/ payout options than most other companies. While the prices have increased from my first pet to my most recent they are still reasonable and less expensive for better coverage than most competitors.

I highly recommend ASPCA. I tell people whenever I can that they honor their promises. It is a real piece of mind to know while you're working out hundreds of dollars to keep your kid healthy, they are going to help with the expense - including the office visit, which is rare in my experience with pet insurance.

So thankful for Nationwide!
I have never had pet insurance on a pet before. But my friend said that my German Shepherd was an investment that he needed to be protected. So thankful I did because without this insurance I won't have been able to give Samson his life-saving surgery back in November of 2018!!

Good benefits
While Nationwide paid excellent benefits for double knee replacements at age4 I was dismayed when Sawyer’s premiums increased by almost double when he reached age 8 this year. While I understand that he may begin to have health issues due to aging this increase seems excessive.

Read the fine print!
Make sure you read the fine print. Quite a bit is not covered for the 1st year of service and we were left with paying more than 3000 out of pocket for things that would have been covered after the first year. This company wants to make sure they take enough of your money up front before they start covering anything major.

Payment reimbursement takes a bit 2 long
I like this insurance, but payment reimbursement takes a bit to long. I also don't know why they do not cover prescription drugs.
