High Premium Increase

Overall I found Healthy Paws customer service courteous and the claims process was very easy; however, I found it strange that when I submitted a claim, only the percentage of the claim that equaled my reimbursement percentage was applied towards my deductible. For example, if I chose a 90% reimbursement rate after my annual deductible was met, then only 90% of the total amount of my claim was applied. When I questioned the company about this calculation, no one (even management) could provide me with an answer as to why. In my 3rd year of coverage, my premium jumped 25% with no warning. That was the last straw for me.

Always there for us

My dog has a chronic, tho not life-threatening, allergic condition. Trupanion picking up 90% of her tab, EVERY TIME, really helps!

I am very satisfied with ASPCS insurance.

I am very satisfied with ASPCS. I had many claims in just this one year. I'm sure I could not have given my puppy the proper care without ASPCA insurance since he did need testing and had medical issues. Customer service is very pollite and helpful. Claims are easy to submit and processing and was done quickly without issues. I'm very satisfied at this point. I did check into many companies when selecting my insurance and I'm pleased I picked ASPCS.

It’s a Life Saver!

It’s worth every penny and gives you the peace of mind knowing your pet is covered. Our shiba is 7 years old and tore his ACL. When they told us how much the surgery was going to be, I asked if some of the sedation was for me. Wow! Healthy Paws covered 90% of the cost!!!! Don’t think twice, get your pet covered!!!

Trupanion Review January 2020

It's very easy to submit invoices on the website for a claim that's active. The initial claim takes a bit longer, but that is to be expected. I purchased the additional rider that covers services like acupuncture and it has served us well. The monthly premium has gotten higher over time, but it's still worth the expense to me.

Pet Insurance

They cover a lot of medical issues for your pet and process claims rather quickly, though the insurance policies themselves are a little pricey, but then again you pay for what you get

Slow claims processing but fair outcome

I’ve been covered for almost a year and a half by Pets Best when the moment of truth arrived - my first claim. It was under my deductible so I wasn’t expecting reimbursement, just credit towards the deductible. When I first submitted my claim, the auto response told me two weeks. Two weeks later, I was told they were taking 25-30 business days to process claims. Just over 30 calendar days after I filed the claim, I got my EOB and they had covered all except a maintenance procedure that I had done while she was in - a perfectly fair outcome. However, that same day I received the EOB, the infection that triggered the first visit came back. I’ve now filed a second claim and will shortly be filing a third, or the surgery that will treat the underlying condition. Hoping that they continue to be fair in their coverage but it would also be nice if the process could be sped up a bit.....
