I’d not recommend VPI. Slow processing of claims, unreasonable limits on the one time really needed, and high premium with excessively high increases.

I have five dogs. I thought pet insurance would be a good idea, and I thought Nationwide was a reputable company. I only chose this insurance because it was offered by my employer. I should have read the reviews before purchase. Nationwide is quick to deny claims, and it takes them weeks to over a month to reimburse. Their call center is lacking when it comes to skilled client service.

TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
I've had pet insurance for three years now & have broke even or come just slightly ahead on cost of premiums vs amount of bills I paid & was on the fence whether to renew or not. Then my dog needed surgery & was I ever glad I had coverage!! The customer service associates are very knowledgeable & pleasant to deal with. My vet office submits the claims & the automatic deposit process is fast & easy.

Huge help
Such a huge help. Our sweet puppy started having seizures and our local vet felt we needed to take him to see a specialist. After all the tests that were done he found out that it was going to cost over $3,100. Of course we had to pay it up front but with our pet insurance we got most of it back. Huge relief. Sooo happy with this insurance company!!! Very reliable!

I absolutely Love Trupanion
I have a dog that since about 1 year old has had several conditions that without trupanion would have been unafordable to treat. I credit Trupanion with the good health of my dog, as I can afford my deductable and Trupanion covers 90% ! My dog thanks you and I thank you. I absolutely Love Trupanion

Never too late to insure your Pet
Vaillant was 7 years old when I had him Trupanion coverage. Most people would not believe it and would say 'it s too late, you'll never get him insured'. 3 years later I am so happy I took that decision ! I am 150% satisfied.

I have been so grateful for the Nationwide policy for my dog, Coconut. He's had a series of medical issues recently, including IBD, bulbar encephalitis, old dog vestibular, and high blood pressure. One of the best decisions that I ever made was to get a Nationwide policy when I adopted Coconut at 7 years of age from the local shelter. It's been easy to submit our claims and we've been very satisfied with the benefits. You've helped me be a good pet Mom!
