I'm relieved to have Nationwide for my fur baby
It's a bit high in premiums however I've had since Charlie was a puppy and feel confident knowing I can take him to the vet when necessary.

Good decision, good company
Had made decision to insure next kitten years before we got. This insurance was offered through work-never checked any other. Mr. Whiskers was a rescue shelter kitty and was a sick mess so insurance came with some pre-existing conditions that are not covered. (All were cured and have not reappeared) Insurance also does not cover chronic conditions. Fortunately he has none-all issues have been curable. He has a sensitive tummy and will sniff then taste then swallow anything on the floor so we have had a fair share of claims that have all been handled quickly and fair. We pay yearly and it is a rather large chunk of money but so far has been worth it. As most insurance policies I think they make out a bit better than we do but with this kitty you never know what can happen so it is worth the piece of mind. He is 3 years old and remains very happy and reasonable healthy. Claims are very easy to submit on line.

BAD DEAL
IT is absurd that out of $443 only $97 is paid for. and you keep on raising the rates. I have already told others NOT to buy your insurance. I am defineately looking elsewhere.

Honestly not sure what I’d do without this comprehensive insurance
Both my cats (ages 5, 7) and pup (almost 6) are on the comprehensive whole pet with wellness unlimited plans. When I was considering plans I thought maybe this was too much, but if there’s one thing that’s been proven this past year it’s to prepare for the unexpected with vet visits. Between preventative care for my dog to extensive dentals with the cats, a few emergencies, and now the start of a complicated diagnosis with my older cat— Nationwide hasn’t even batted an eye with coverage. They’re always sending check-in emails, refunds are super quick, communication is excellent, and I feel relieved knowing no matter what the cost, my pets will get the care they deserve because I have such solid coverage. Thank you so much, Nationwide! Zelo, Tilly, and Nico appreciate all you do :)

Nationwide is not on your side when your dog gets sick.
I have been paying into this pet insurance company for 12 years. I have not had any major claims because my 2 dogs have been pretty healthy. But, this summer my dog was diagnosed with a brain tumor that could only be treated with radiation treatments. It was now that I needed help with my insurance company. That didn't happen. They say 90%. That is not true. They ended up paying less than $3000 for a bill that exceeded $14,000. I know there are much better insurance companies out there for your pet. I saw other companies like Trupanion and Healthy Paws paying almost 100%.for radiation treatments. I felt like I got ripped off all these years. At 12 years old there are no other companies that would take your pet. So Im stuck. Please seek out other options before its too late.

Pet insurance that does exactly what is needed when you need it
First time purchasing pet insurance and I absolutely appreciate it. I love being able yo just pay a monthly premium and pay a deductible instead of fronting the entire bill.

Ease of filing a claim
I realized that I had a 500.00 deductible didn't know what the bill would be but it was a very easy process.

Truly a godsend
Healthy Paws is truly the best there is. My dog had luxating patella surgery and I only ended up paying $207 of the $2070 fee. And their claims processing time is absolutely fantastic. I’m reimbursed usually within 2 weeks. I no longer panic in fear when we have to go to the vet wondering what we’ll have to give up that month to make up for the amount the visit costs. I’m reimbursed before my credit card payment is even due. It’s truly a huge weight off my shoulders. Especially with such an incident prone puppy! ($5,673 in vet bills to date and she isn’t even two yet!)

peace of mind
While insurance is not inexpensive, I find that having it gives me peace of mind. I know that if my dog is ill or injured I need not hesitate to bring him to my veterinarian. I have a limited budget and knowing there will never be any sky-high bills related to my pet's care((with the exception of one pre-existing condition) makes it easier to make important decisions.

It’s worth it!
We weren’t sure if purchasing health insurance for our puppy was a good idea or a silly one, but we have been pleased beyond measure by our decision to go with Nationwide coverage.
