So impressed with Trupanion's coverage for our Basset Hound's second Enucleation (eye removal due to glaucoma)
Our old Bassett Hound Freckles has been covered by Trupanion for most of her life. She's been high maintenance during her sunset years. Trupanion has been excellent covering medication for various conditions and most recently her second eye removal surgery due to glaucoma. Trupanion coverage and speed was excellent. The surgery was over $1100 but we only paid $105. What I love the most is the peace of mind that we can do what is best for our dog.

Best decision I ever made
Nationwide pet insurance was simply one of the best decisions I ever made. I don't know what it was, but apparently I got a dog that's had some pretty serious health issues throughout his life and when you're faced with mounting vet bills, the peace of mind that this plan offers is a godsend. I can't tell you how many times I've been at the vet ER and have had to listen to people make an awful decision because they didn't have the money for their pets treatment. With Nationwide I'm never concerned when I take my pet to the vet, because I know, no matter what, Nationwide will take care of me, and him.

Unplanned vet expenses can be financially devastating.
My Schnauzer has had two health events that could have been very costly. Thanks to Nationwide she is healthy happy and so am I . Payments were made quickly and I didn't have to jump through complcated hoops to put in aclaim. I always recommend Nationwide. My sweet 14 year old Bouvier recently passed over the rainbow bridge. Throughout her life she was well taken care of with the help of Nationwide. Thank you.

Nationwide has helped me and my dogs through everything.
When I first got Eva, Eva my girl of nine weeks- she couldn't even walk on a leash. She and I did everything together. Out with my friends, kayaking running at Town Lake. Most recently, we took the "kids" to Port Aransas and she was so excited to splash through the waves and run on the beach! She was my best friend and throughout the years Nationwide has helped through everything. I didn't know it at the time but when I first got her she had parvo almost died. Town and country animal hospital saved her. 8 weeks I went to the vet everyday checking on her. Talking to her, playing with her and she survived. Later on she survived getting hit by a car and 3 bouts of cancer but the last bout killed her. Nationwide was there for me through everything helping me because it was so expensive to save her. She lived for 12 wonderful years, truly the best dog in the world. Then there's Curry my dachshund and recently my guy and I have a little Yorkie. and of course,my cat, cross eyed and so cute-Maxannalessa Blues No matter what happened Nationwide always tried to pay as much as they could and let me know when they couldn't pay and why. and even when they really shouldn't have paid they did. So, thank you Nationwide over and over I will never go to another company.

I love this insurance. You have saved me money and worry.
This is the best insurance and I've checked on all the different ones. My Sidney swallowed a sewing needle. We watch our five Yorkies very close because they do get in trouble. Sidney picked the needle up by the time it hit the floor. I knew he swallowed it because I grabbed the needle and before I could get it out of his mouth he had swallowed it. Thank you Nationwide. He had a rather large hospital bill and a 4 inch surgery cut. He is great now but I still have to watch him close because he picks up everything. I have the needle, in a little tube, to prove it.

Very Happy I Have Nationwide Pet Insurance
The plan I have w/ Nationwide is a bit pricey, but I am happy I have it. It is the only plan I found that includes wellness care. I have the Vitus Vet app on my phone & I can submit claims right through that- very easy! A day or 2 later I receive an e-mail from Nationwide, indicating that they received the claim. So I am always informed & can check the status on line. My dog is turning 5 soon, so who knows what care he will need down the road.

Great insurance, great service
The insurance pays as agreed with no hassles. Claims take a couple weeks, so it would be nice if it were faster, but that's not a big deal. I'm definitely satisfied.

Pet Insurance a MUST
We have two labs and are very active with them. With our oldest we added insurance after going through the puppy phase. He ended up breaking a tooth and that was when we fully realized the value of having insurance. The coverage was amazing and because of that experience we added insurance for our younger dog the moment we got him. It's paid of as well. Since then our oldest was diagnosed with cancer, having insurance helped us by relieving the stress of having to make every decision based on money first.
