I am paying too much for the return on my insurance. I would be better to start a bank account with the monthly premium

The claims process itself was fine.
The claims process itself was fine. However, I feel that if an animal is sick, the consultation should be covered. I ended up getting no reimbursement for my cat's illness. The premiums go up all the time and on the odd occasion that I submit a claim, I don't get anything back.

Always great service! My only concern is how much my premium keep climbing even though I have had my dog insured continuously with you since she was a pup, then I have to pay a deductible and only get 90%. My premium has increased from $25 a month to almost $90, and in the case of an emergency I do not feel the vet visit should not be covered as it is not a "regular" visit but an emergency, which should be covered as part of the claim. I can understand a regular visit for a normal routine checkups not being covered but an "emergency" visit should be covered. Thank you!

Daniel explained the deductible to me which I hadn't previously understood it is by condition across the animal's lifetime.

I am so glad that I invested in the insurance for my puppy as she has needed surgery at a very early age.

Pricey but great.
I like the speed of payment. I like the immediate email acknowledgement of a claim. I think the price is high.

Easy to use, great customer service
I was hesitant to purchase pet insurance - it seemed expensive and unnecessary. Then my dog had an emergency vet visit and I quickly realized the value! I researched and compared brands and finally decided on Healthy Paws because it seemed like the best fit for what I was looking for. We have had this insurance for over 3 years and our 4 year old Golden Retriever has already used it several times. They cover 80% of our costs outside of standard well visits, etc. We had a very expensive surgery to remove a possible cyst and it was totally covered. Aside from the good coverage, I also LOVE how easy it is to submit claims. I usually scan my receipts and records while standing in the vets office checking out. If covered, I have a check within a week. They have great customer service and I highly recommend.

Happy to have good pet insurance
So glad that we have pet insurance when we need it. Mia is not often sick, but after relocating to Northwest Florida from South Florida we encountered a sick doggie. We were quickly able to locate our new vet who was awesome. He prescribed medications and Mia was on the mend rather quickly. So good to have a happy girl again. We filed a claim for yearly visit before we moved on 11/30 and it was paid out by 12/3. We filed this last claim on 12/9 and it is in process of being paid out. Claims are easy to file. I do it myself now rather than bother my vets staff. If Nationwide has a question they email and I am able to fix the issue and the claim goes on. We now have our 2nd pup on the plan through my work insurance. How cool is that? So far no problems with our pup so we have not had to file for her, but when we do, we know Nationwide will respond quickly. The only thing we do not like is that the premium has gone up every year. Mia is worth it but it if gets much higher we may have to find a different insurance for her. They say age of dog does not matter nor do the amount of claims but it has gone up significantly from what started at 80/mo to now 143.00. Nationwide you need to get a handle on that piece or you will lose customers.
