I don’t like how every year my plan goes up.

Overall I’m pleased with what gets covered for my dog but since 2015 every year my plan gets more and more expensive and I don’t know why. 2015 I was paying 55 for my installment payment. I’m now paying $110 for my installment.

The best pet insurance ever. A life saver!!

I have 2 dogs but only one (the younger one) under insurance. Let me tell you that it has been my heroe during the 2 incidents/emergencies i has with the younger dog. I had to pay a lot of money out of my pocket but in both scenarios I got 100% of the money back which was a relief and almost 90% for the second incident since i didnt met my deductible by the time of the emergency. I got my money back in less than 2 weeks. Is better than medical insurance for people. Less conflicts, less stress, less problems. Love it

Claims are easy, but the company is pretty good at looking for ways out

For the few claims I have put in that actually went through, that much has worked great. But because an initial checkup for my adopted cat I mentioned she's been throwing up every now and then since I adopted her (which was before I got this policy), which turned out to be hairballs in the end (I'm not used to long haired cats!) and treatable at home, she was labeled with "gastropathy". Despite a somewhat heated argument with a supervisor over the phone the conclusion was that for 6 months if my cat came down with ANYTHING that gave her a symptom of "gastropathy" or "throwing up" she was not covered! Cats will barf for almost any reason! That means I've only been covered for flea meds, and MAYBE just MAYBE a wellness check if I needed it as long as it wasn't because she was BARFING. Meanwhile I'm paying $65/mo. VERY DISSATISFIED!!!! The underwriters are cold and cannot understand basic common sense. You give them one small reason, one slip of a tongue, and they'll write you off. But I guess that's insurance companies for you? Now that my six months are up, I get to fill out a form to have this reviewed, but the instructions on how to do so are not helpful or easy to find. not to mention, there's no email to send the form to, only fax! I'm locked down because of this virus so I don't have access to a fax!

They make it easy to take care of my pet without being stressed about the cost!

I was so worried about my little yorkie and his surgery, but the one thing I didn't have to worry about was how I was going to pay for it!

Terrific Pet Insurance

We had previously been on PetPlan insurance, and were very unhappy, as the premiums increased in large jumps each year. We are paying less now for our coverage of 2 cats and 1 dog, including wellness, than we were with PetPlan for just emergency-type coverage (no wellness included) for all three. We are so thankful we can take care of our furry kids first and then worry about the cost as a secondary consideration, and not the other way around. Thank you Nationwide!

Very happy with insurance and service, hopefully insurance plan won't have such a steep jump next year!

I'm thrilled that I invested in this insurance plan for our little Oliver! I never knew that vet bills can become quite pricey very quickly! The service is extremely efficient and in that regard I have no complaints. However, the insurance plan almost DOUBLED in one year for me, if this happens again I don't know that I can keep up with the plan..

It’s a great help to the veterinary bill.

I live on a fixed income and going to the vet can be scary because it’s an added expense. This insurance is wonderful. Every pet owner should have it

Fast claims processing

We sometimes complain about the amount we pay for insurance and I agree, it is expensive but if I didn't have it just a few weeks ago, I would have lost my dog Kaos. She had eaten a small stuffed toy, first time EVER, and she would have died if I didn't have the reassurance that I would get some, if not almost all, of the monies back from my policy. $3500 later and with surgery complete, she is perfect today and I am super happy that the claim was processed quickly and without delay. Thank you.

due to the state of emergency expected drug shortages and vet closing I should be able to submit and be paid for HW meds!

My. City is in a state of emergency, I have 5 insured dogs who only have one HW pill each. I have been told I am not able to buy and submit a claim because I have to wait until May 1st with my new policy. My vet is anticipating closing her office due to the pandemic and has advised of potential drug shortages. If she is closed or the drug I use is not available I won’t heart worm pills for my dogs! I’m upset that there is no solution besides me paying out of pocket and not being reimbursed or waiting and hoping my vet is back to regular hours and the product doesn’t have a shortage. I don’t think it’s a fair position to be in. I pay nearly $4,000 a year for this insurance!
