If not for you, our sweet Penelope might not be with us today.
Our 6 year old Pug received a bad injury to her nose causing her extreme distress in breathing which is already an issue with this type of dog. She required surgeries, lengthy stays at the animal hospital and extensive follow-up care. The financial burden was astronomical and if not for Trupanion my wife and I would not have been able to afford the over $20,000.00 in medical care necessary to save the life and quality of life of our little girl. We can not truely express our heart-felt thanks for your very affordable insurance that, in today's economy, is so important. I recommend Trupanion to every single one of my friends that have four legged family members. The piece of mind you give us knowing you will be there to assist us in difficult times allows us to focus our attention on what is needed for our dogs and not what can we afford. Again, I can not put in words how grateful my wife and I are for Trupanion. We still have our little girl and she is looking to many many more years of a healthy and happy life.

Hospitalized pup over Christmas - Healthy Paws took the stress away
Our dog suffered from very dangerous colitis during this past Christmas and it required a 48 hour hospitalization. In addition to the untimely stress, it also was a very costly experience. But because we were covered by Healthy Paws the damage was minimal and we were very quickly reimbursed in a fair way. HP helps us care for our pup in the way we want.

Healthy Paws has been very prompt in paying claims for our Basset/Pit Bull mix.. She has recently had surgery and Healthy Paws covered the expense. Their premiums are reasonable and their customer service is excellent.

Better than I ever expected
I didn't have high hopes when getting insurance, but decided to go with Healthy Paws because it seemed the best out of the 3 recommended by our vet and I am glad I did. Submitting claims is easy, response time is quick and they even wrote to check on my pup after an acute illness. Overall, better than any human insurance and I the monthly cost is reasonable.

Healthy Paws saved my cat's life!
I signed up for Healthy Paws because my cat turned 6, and I figured it was about time for just in case. My friend recommended it to me - and it was one of the best suggestions I received ever! Shortly after, my cat got diagnosed with IBD, and he's been getting treated ever since. This was not cheap, but luckily with Healthy Paws, I could afford all treatments, vet visits, tests, and medications just fine. And the reimbursement is so easy. I submit a photo of the vet bill via their app, and they send me a wire transfer. Recently I had to take him to the ER and they thought he might have cancer... which was the most heart breaking news ever. Healthy Paws reached out to me and asked if my cat was doing okay. It was such a nice personal message and I was so grateful - I mean what kind of insurance company would ever do that! Thank you so much, Healthy Paws!

I wish that I had this insurance earlier and for other pets
I shopped 5 different pet insurances before I went with ASPCA. They had the best value for the coverage. It's not the cheapest, but that is because I needed more coverage for my senior cat. The claims are easy to file if you have an electronic receipt from your vet and they pay back claims with direct deposits or check. Super easy and efficient. Too bad human health insurance isn't this easy.

Trupanion is always fast in claim reviews and pays fairly. You can pick your own deductible. Unlike insurance for humans, you only meet a deductible for a specific illness or condition once per lifetime. I am a physician and spent 20 years working for an insurance company!

No more doubts!
I had my doubts, but when our shepherd became ill for no reason, and we ended up with a $1300 bill and they still didn't know what was wrong with her, Trupanion took care of it! So grateful and will definitely be continuing our coverage indefinitely. Monthly coverage is money well spent!
