User friendly claims experience. I filled out the short claim form and attached the invoice(s) and received reimbursement within a few days. I was also provided a detailed breakdown of the payout. The first dog I adopted was a senior and I didn't get pet insurance. I'm so grateful my veterinarian recommended Trupanion this time around. While my home and auto insurance also offers pet insurance, Trupanion appeared to be a better fit and I have not been disappointed. Unfortunately, my puppy was diagnosed with a somewhat rare autoimmune disease and I'm so glad I have insurance to help cover my expenses. After already satisfying my deductible in just a few months, I'm now covered and only responsible for 10% of future covered costs for this condition. That is serious peace of mind! Thank you, Trupanion!

A little disappointed
I have been with trupanion for over 8 years. I have paid my premiums and accepted the increased rates year after year. I have been fortunate to not have to submit many claims for my pet. But this December I had to submit a few claims for multiple consecutive visits for my pet that totaled to about 1500.00. I was only reimbursed about 200. It was very confusing to know that for more of the services to be included I needed to have an additional part included onto my current coverage. I already pay about 115 a month for my coverage. It was a bit disappointing to know that not only did I only get reimbursed just a small amount but I also had a large deductible that had to be met with my already large monthly payments.

Because you were not there when I need it the most.
Because you were not there when I need it the most. You will not cover my needed surgery for my dog. I'm a single mom, and this dog is my sons dog. I spend $80 a month on my two dogs with this insurance plan. And Im not getting my money out of it. This is when I really need the help with dog, one of our family members. I'm very disappointed.
