Good insurance but one major flaw
In general this is a good plan. No cap on benefits, reasonably easy to submit claims and quick turnaround on payment. My problem is that when I read the fine print that said they didn't cover veterinary exams, I thought that meant regular preventive exams. I didn't realize they meant that anything classified as an "exam fee" isn't covered, even if it's part of an emergency care visit for a condition that is covered by the insurance. This has meant that major portions of our unexpected vet bills get denied. Because of this I am looking for other options. If they covered exam fees for non-routine visits I would have rated them much higher.

Quick payment and service!!
What a great Company. Our little sweet heart Rory has had a awful GI problem for several years. We are so glad we bought the insurance when he was a puppy! His claims have been way over what we have paid for premiums. After two years I think we have finally got his issues resolved. This would have been difficult with out Trupanion!!! rory is only 3.5 years old , We will definitely keep his insurance his whole life. Thank You Trupanion!

Best coverage and claim service!
I love the coverage that my plan offers, and the easy way to submit claims. I must say thou I was not happy that my premiums went from $98/Mo to $172/Mo. Being a senior citizen on a fixed income, I’m afraid I won’t be able to afford it next year if the price hike is as steep.
