Filing claims is as easy as they said it would be!
Shopped around quite awhile for pet insurance. I actually have two large dogs. The other pet insurance companies were either to expensive or only covered at 70 or 80 percent. Have not had any problems with Hartville Pet Ins. If you need pet ins. shop around an I think you will go with Hartville .

GRATEFUL!
Firstly, if you're pondering "should I get pet insurance?" my answer to you is a resounding "YES". After we spent thousands on our Golden Retriever who died of a Melanoma cancer, for this dog (who's now 11) it was a done deal in my mind. IF you can insure as a pup, best rates for you but again, DO it regardless and NO, I don't work for Trupanion. Our dog, Bryce, had bouts of colitis for years, and a new vet I decided to see decided to do an Ultrasound. The tests unfortunately showed 50% liver failure (with colitis as well) and Trupanion paid out 90% of a $700.00+ claim. He's on special kibble, a low-fat diet and hoping by next month, when he's checked again, progress. Again. BUY PET INSURANCE - it's insurance for YOUR wallet and bank account too. BELIEVE me it is.

Great service, but extremely expensive!
I've had excellent customer service from nationwide vet insurance, however I was very unhappy with the major increase in premiums and because of that, may cancel my policy.

Best Fur Family Insurance Ever!
When one of my fur family seems under the weather I do not hesitate to seek medical attention knowing that I am in good care with Trupanion. Trupanion alleviates the sticker shock when informed of necessary examinations, treatments, and medications. Luca is alive today due to Trupanion. If we had not had this insurance our decisions would be based on finances which is sad, instead of doing what was very best for our family beloved pet. Thankfully his cancer treatment has afforded him more time with us and comfort. Of course cancer treatments are no fun for our pet, and us but after treatment he has successfully enjoyed a new normal. He is free from pain. He is happy and so are we. Thanks to Trupanion.

After a $100 deductible per chronic illness, all subsequent claims have been covered at 90%. We have been very satisfied. I wish we had known we needed to obtain separate coverage for our dog's allergies but really no complaints.
