Pet insurance was not a "thing" with our other dogs, so we were a bit skeptical when we signed up for it with our new puppy 2 years ago. It has given us peace of mind knowing that Mabel would be in the great care of our vets and that Nationwide would help us with the costs involved. Great Pet Insurance!
Healthy Paws has provided great coverage for both of my dogs throughout their lives. I've been a customer since 2012 and have never had any issues with them. One of my dogs went through a period of seizures and the other has had early onset arthritis and a torn ACL. Healthy Paws has appropriately reimbursed every claim I've submitted with very little trouble. I highly recommend you insure your pet with them while its young so that you are covered for life and don't have to make hard decisions about health care. Knowing Healthy Paws was there to back me up has made a lot of decisions much easier to make and allowed me to give my dogs the best care!

I have had Healthy Paws insurance since my golden was a few months old. Unfortunately, we have been struck with many medical situations from foreign bodies, GI illnesses, and UTIs. Having insurance with Healthy Paws has helped me give my golden the best possible care without worrying about whether or not I can afford it. I can just focus on taking care of my dog and getting her the best care that she needs because I know that Healthy Paws has my back not only through financial reimbursements but also through support. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who has a pet. I can recommend them confidently because I have spent a lot of money at the vet and many long hours at the emergency vet. Trupanion is there when we need them!
Now that I have a senior dog with diabetes, I am very grateful to have vet insurance and am pleased with the coverage offered by Trupanion. I would be remiss if I did not state however that over the 13.5 years of owning my dog, the insurance premium increased from $35 to $140 per month apparently based on where I live geographically and claims submitted in my region.
