Thank Goodness for Healthy Paws Insurance
Healthy Paws has been so wonderful. I will admit that for years I paid the premiums and didn't really use the insurance that much, but as my boy got older (he is almost 12) he developed health issues. Not only was it super easy to submit claims to Healthy Paws but the turn around is very fast. Thank Goodness, because if not I would have had to make the types of decisions no pet owner wants to make. It has been worth very penny I paid in premiums over the years.

My little 3 yr. old mini-Labradoodle has been dealing with aspergillus for nearly a year. She nearly died last fall and the prognosis was grim. We had her in Emergency Animal ICU, with a feeding tube, drained her lungs 5 times and she's been on anti-fungal meds that are basically keeping things at bay. Without my insurance policy, there's no way I could have done for her what we've done..thank you, thank you, thank you for hanging in there with me!!

Stands Above The Rest
My wife and I were thinking about purchasing pet insurance so we had done a lot of research. It was clear that Nationwide stood out among the rest. One of the best factors is their customer service after the sale. The whole process from purchasing the insurance to getting paid for a claim is very quick. Last week one of our dogs that is covered needed some dental care that cost $2,000 and within three days of our vet filing a claim, a check was on the way for 90% reimbursement. What made our decision even easier was that my employer offered this optional insurance through payroll deduction. I would recommend Nationwide to any pet owner, just give them a chance.

Helpful for non-routine visits!
We have had this policy for a very long time and I have to be honest, we were thinking of cancelling it because we have paid and paid and never used it (thank GOODNESS). Luckily we kept it - we had a few issues arise with Hope (our oldest fur baby) and are very pleased with the coverage. Thank you for helping us take good care of our Hopie and our other fur babies too.

Getting Nationwide pet insurance was one of my best decisions!
Nationwide has been amazing, I had them for my last dog who was diagnosed with lymphoma at only 6 1/2 years old. It was horrible and When it comes to our pets, most of us will spend anything, money that we don’t have. The cost of his cancer treatments were so high, and knowing that I had nationwide Eased my mind. They paid back the majority of what I spent. I now have a new dog, and I would never have a dog without them. I always referred them to my friends and family. Thank you nationwide!

All the familly needs good health care coverage and Nationwide provides that for my small dog.
We have had four "children" during our 50 years of marriage. Genie is the fifth. Our first was having heart problems when we first heard of insurance for pets. It was too late to get her covered at age 15 and pre-existing conditions. We got our second baby and insured him at the first moment he was eligible. So this is our fourth "baby" to be covered. In the period of time from 1980 until today, I am so thankful for this coverage. We had one (the third) who jumped from the car window and before we could stop, was run over. Broken leg, broken hip, among other injuries. BUT with Nationwide, he recuperated and lived to a good age. THANK YOU NATIONWIDE.

Best pet insurance company ever! Paid claim in 14 hours.
Trupanion may be the best insurance company ever! I’ve had my 2 pups covered since they were a year old and wondered if I would ever actually need it. Well, here we are 4 years later, and Clyde got a herniated disc in his spine. How did this happen? No one knows. He is not overly active or sporty. The doctor says that his breed (he is a rescue mutt, but we suspect he is a mix of Jack Russell & Beagle. Who knows, maybe there is some dachshund in there too?) is predisposed to this type of spine injuries even from normal activity. It appeared to start with a sore back and his primary vet treated him with anti-inflammatory and Pain medication. This appeared to be working but then all of a sudden, Clyde had a setback and it was clear that we had to take him to a specialist. The Neurologist kept him overnight for observation and when he was worse by the next morning, they did emergency surgery. I would’ve found a way to pay whatever it cost to take care of Clyde.... even have sold my left arm if I had to. But thanks to Trupanion, I didn’t have any of those concerns. In these particularly difficult times of the Covid-19 Quarantine and our company being closed, I was able to take comfort knowing that my four-legged child was taken care of, no matter how high the cost. Trupanion has no-limit on the amount they will cover to save my baby. Prior to selecting this insurance company, I did a lot of research and Trupanion had the best terms and best reviews. I was certain I’d made the right decision but, to be honest, until you actually use it, you never really know if all the reviews are true. Having used this insurance now, I can personally attest to the fact that Trupanion is a great company and they do what they say they will and they do it in a expeditious manner. I submitted my vet bills online to Trupanion at 4:55pm on a Wednesday. I fully expected to hear back from them sometime the following week. To my surprise, at 7:15am the NEXT MORNING, I had an email stating that my claim was approved and would be paid immediately. That is a 14 hour turnaround time. I was shocked. The money hit my account that night and was available in my account the next day. ASTONISHING! (In case any is wondering, a herniated disc in a small dog cost about $6000). Trupanion is an upstanding company in a world where companies seem to do as little as they can get away with these days. I recommend Trupanion hands down, to anyone who would like health insurance for their pet.
