Our experience has been great but I don't think most people would be able to afford the monthly fee and it keeps going up yearly. My dog is almost 12 years old and I don't think I would get it if I ever get another dog.

Very quick turn around.
Very quick turn around. I would love - in the future - to see the preventative care for our beloved pets to be covered, maybe at 50%. It would mean a lot. So far I am not recommending Trupanion to friends any longer, also because the costs skyrocketed in the years. However, i am happy with the claim experience.

Came through when I needed them.
Timely responses. No hassle. For some reason, fees for examinations are excluded from coverage. Not sure why that is. Nonetheless, the claims process was painless and very efficient.

My dog became very ill I had to go the emergency room where he was admitted and diagnosed with terminal cancer.
My dog became very ill, I had to go the emergency room where he was admitted and diagnosed with terminal cancer. Trupanion processed my claims within 24 hours of receiving the paperwork from the animal hospital, and I had my reimbursement payment within 48 hours. The only disappointing thing is that preventative maintenance wasn't covered.

If you love them, get Trupanion!
When I talk to pet lovers, I always mention Trupanion as the right insurance to have! They worked with what I can afford each month and its been great! If you love your pet, get them the right pet insurance, TRUPANION!!
