Easy to work with but rates get quite extreme as your pet ages!
Very efficient claim process but was shocked when my annual policy went from around $1000 to $1800 the next year! Seemed liked an unreasonable percentage of increase.

I recommend pet insurance to everyone I know
I have had pet insurance since before it was cool. 15 plus years I believe. Nationwide used to be called VPI. I appreciate having the ability to tell the vet to "go ahead and do that test, she has insurance so I don't worry about cost". It's good to know I can treat my pets with the best available medicine. We have had root canals, eye problems, surgeries, one time incidents or accidents all paid no problem with our nationwide plan. I tell everyone who wants to listen that their dogs should have health insurance. We had a significant rate hike on our older dogs policy this year and almost canceled it, but I'm glad we did not because it has almost paid for itself with her eye problems this year. I love the Vitus Vet app and ease of submitting claims on the go. Reta collab there!

Great company to work with and use to provide get coverage for my girl Sophie. I wish I didn't have to use the insurance but with the issues my st. Benard developed/has this insurance sure helps out. And made the decisions on Sophies health care so much easier.

I have had a couple cliams in with my 6 year old Goldendoodle this year - some planned routine visits, and unfortunatley a few not. The claim submisison process is seamless and the turnaround for review and reimbursement is phenomenal. I was on the fence initially about the need for pet insurance but found it to be a worthy investment. I have not had experience with other pet insurance carriers so I don't have another point of reference - however based on the service, value and experience with Nationwide - I don't feel the need to explore others. rience I have with Nationwide I don't feel the need to explore others, thankfully. some unfortunately not

We bought Healthy Paws pet insurance because of several recommendations from friends and family, and we have had a better experience with them than most companies in any industry! Our pup has had a ton of health problems. The process to upload a claim to Healthy Paws takes less than thirty seconds and we always receive a check within several days. They cover a huge amount of the costs of unexpected visits. Not only have they saved us an enormous amount of money we had not expected to spend, but they've made the whole process of getting reimbursed incredibly painless and easy. Amazing Service and Quick Turnaround
I love Healthy Paws! I was reluctant to get pet insurance for my puppy, Oliver, but I'm so glad that I did. My deductible was $250, so I was skeptical that I would actually need insurance, but unfortunately I've already needed to use it twice! Luckily, submitting claims on Healthy Paws is super easy and there is an incredibly quick turnaround of processing claims. Once I found out that my last emergency vet visit (puppies eat EVERYTHING) was covered, I cried out of relief! Even when the claim was reimbursed (within a week via mail, but they also have direct deposit which I did enroll in moving forward), their customer service team reached out to follow up and make sure Oliver is still doing okay! During these crazy times, I'm so grateful to know that I can rely on our puppy insurance for peace of mind and keeping Oliver safe and healthy! Thank you, Healthy Paws! 10/10 recommend.
