Better than my own insurance
My dog has had her share of incidents that needed medical attention. These visits can get expensive very fast and I am so happy I decided to get insurance years ago because it’s worth every penny. Nationwide is hands down the best pet insurance folks out there. Policy is simple, straight forward and they don’t make claims difficult at all.

Best Pet Insurance Ever!
The kindest and most thoughtful customer service and worth every penny for peace of mind and knowing my pooch is taken care of in an emergency or otherwise. Best decision is to insure your pet and no one is better to do that with than Nationwide. Claims are processed and paid in no time and you can always get someone on email or phone if you have any questions. Thus far it’s been a fantastic experience and saves me money on my vet bills in the long run. I’m so glad my vet recommended Nationwide.

Better than expected
Haven't had to file a claim until recently and I was worried that this insurance would be worth it. I was convinced they wouldn't reimburse my claim. My cat was diagnosed with cancer and let me tell you, it has been so worth it. All my claims have been approved in 2-3 days. It gives us comfort knowing we can choose the best care for the remainder of his life because we planned ahead.

I just wanted to thank you so much for helping me with the Medications and all the tests to diagnose Canoe with his heart condition. Trupanion paid as soon as the bill was ready. This is definitely the best pet insurance there is! We have had the insurance since Canoe was a puppy and I am 100% satisfied. You may not think about insurance when you dog is young but think about later in your pets life and how you will be able to give them the very best of care.

Our experience has been great but I don't think most people would be able to afford the monthly fee and it keeps going up yearly. My dog is almost 12 years old and I don't think I would get it if I ever get another dog.

Very quick turn around.
Very quick turn around. I would love - in the future - to see the preventative care for our beloved pets to be covered, maybe at 50%. It would mean a lot. So far I am not recommending Trupanion to friends any longer, also because the costs skyrocketed in the years. However, i am happy with the claim experience.
