Excellent service from Trupanion
Trupanion is a great company to work with. Their policies are straightforward and easy to understand. They process claims very quickly and are always pleasant on the phone if you need to talk to someone. Also, and maybe even most important, the premiums are affordable! All 3 of our dogs were seniors at the time we enrolled them.

I love Nationwide Pet Insurance
My late husband and I have carried Nationwide Pet Insurance, formerly VPI Pet Insurance, on our Yorkies since 1987, when after paying our first veterinarian bill, I laughingly asked why pets can't be insured like me for doctor visits and the Technician pointed me to the VPI Pet Insurance brochures. I once tried another insurer, but when our Yorkie at the time had to go into emergency care, the resulting bill out of pocket was $3000+, I went back to Nationwide. I now carry both Wellness and Illness coverage at a very good reimbursement rate. The monthly premium is justified considering my return on expenditure. The key is to SUBMIT CLAIMS for both Wellness visits, and for medical visit!

Great investment for our pet’s health
Best thing we could do for our fur baby, Maxwell! We go to the doctor in confidence that he’s getting great care and that we’ve protected him with great insurance coverage. Pets can be expensive. Insurance ensures that we keep him healthy and protected. The claims process has streamlined making it even easier to submit! Love it!

Great service from Healthy Paws
I got dog insurance for my pup when he was super young. Never did I ever think I would end up needing it and using it as much as I have. Between diabetes, blindness and emergency stomach surgery, Healthy Paws has been there the whole time supporting us. My decisions for treatment would have very different if I didn’t have coverage. I think this pet insurance is wonderful. I like the idea of different options of coverage. The only concern I have is your last rate increase in my view was really quite over the top! I feel you should consider not having those type of increases as it is almost gouging. We all have budgets and this really made payments difficult.

Your annual fee increase of 19.
Your annual fee increase of 19.x% YoY is more than reason enough to abandon Trupanion. Your contract says rates may go up or down by up to 19.x%...funny how it ALWAYS goes up by the maximum ever year. This is shameful and I will no longer be recommending Trupanion for this reason.PetPlan offers far more competitve rates for an 8 year old dog. When I requested a lowering of rates, Allison did her job of towing the company policy...but wrong answer for the customer.
