Very satisfied with HealthyPaws
I switched to HealthyPaws from 24 PetWatch about a year or two after 24 PetWatch took over PurinaCare policies. I was very unhappy with 24 PetWatch and the hiked rates very quickly after taking over PurinaCare. I've had several claims with HealthyPaws and they handled each claim review quickly and customer service is easy to contact for questions, etc. When they needed additional records on my dog, they requested directly from the vet hospital and I did not have to chase anything down. I would recommend HealthyPaws to anyone looking for pet insurance. Please read the terms and conditions regarding limits, preexisting conditions and waiting periods before writing a bad review based on industry wide polices that are followed by all insurance companies. Monthly premiums are reasonable, and I have a low deductible and 90% reimbursement rate. My dog is the poster child for insurance -he's had some expensive healthcare needs, one of them being cancer. It was nice to base my decisions on what was best for his quality of life and not my wallet.

Nationwide has been by our side!
My husband's company started offering pet insurance through Nationwide, so we decided to enroll our then 6 year old french bulldog. They have been nothing short of outstanding! The claims process online has been fast,easy and efficient. it rarely takes more than 3 or 4 days from submitting claim to payment issued. We have never had a claim denied. It has been so comforting to have them as she gets older and will likely have more issues that will need expensive medical care. We feel like we are able to make the right decision for our dog because of our coverage. We can give her the vest best without having to think about it!

So easy, responsive & affordable
I keep recommending Nationwide Pet Insurance to friends. I can't believe how easy it is to upload claims via their VitusVet App. I feel all reimbursement claims have been valid explanations and fair reimbursements. I have saved thousands this year using my pet insurance. They deposit my reimbursement checks directly into my bank account. They have up to 30 days to respond to a claim, but normally do it within 7-10 days. They cover some annual prevention checks as well, which most other insurance do not. I highly recommend using Nationwide!

Save yourself
I would give them 0 stars if I could. I know what I am talking about too since I worked in the insurance industry for 24 years as a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator. Terrible insurance Nationwide raised my dogs rates from $66 to $110 per month (almost double) with no claims other than yearly visits. So in other words my three year old cocker spaniel didn't even have anything wrong with her-this was not precipitated by a claim. I had heard from others they did this, but didn't cancel until they did it to me. NOW my dog is older (yes at three years old) , and I cannot get other insurance without higher rates. Please people do yourself a favor and do NOT use Nationwide. I know people sometimes give bad reviews and are not being reasonable, in this case, not so. Save yourself from this company.
