I grateful to have the insurance to cover my pet. My only concern it takes numerous times to have it be in underwriting. I still have two outstanding invoices not paid to date.

We are having on going issues with our Irish Setter. After paying the deductible Nationwide has covered 90% of his expenses. Nationwide is an excellent company and I highly recommend it.

NATIONWIDE'S PET COVERAGE IS EXCELLENT!
Our Claim for our Standard Poodle, Lulu, was handled quickly and efficiently! While the monthly premiums may be considered "costly", they are well worth the expenditure! With one Vet visit for a Dental Cleaning, and removal of a growth under her eye, the total was just under $1,000, and Nationwide's Plan covered just under $900 of this Claim. Overall, we're incredibly pleased with Lulu's Plan, and appreciate Nationwide's follow-up, as well! Many thanks!!

Pet Insurance Is A Huge Benefit
I couldn’t be happier with the service I get from Nationwide Pet Insurance. I also have the Wellness add-on and being able to be reimbursed for high ticket vet visits has made my financial life less stressful. My only complaint would be, that my premiums doubled after my dog had bilateral knee surgery. It’s hard to believe that it wasn’t to recoup some of their costs. But from $91 to $181 is a bit of a jump.

Claim process is fast but one cap level is ugh
I love how fast the claim process is! Paying vet bills upfront can be stressful but knowing I'll get a reimbursement quick is very helpful and less worrisome. I do wish there was a greater cap offered than the 7500. I'm looking at other insurance companies because of that.

Nation wide is great 90% of the time process claims with no issues
Nation is great for animals like dog that need to go tot eh vet often. I have nation wide for my 2 cats and my dog. I have have the insurance for my cats for 4 years now and have never receive a reimbursement on vet visits because we never meet the deductible yearly. this part is super disappointing as I pay in at least $1200 a year for the cats. My dog on the other hand they are amazing for. we went through one claim where Nationwide did not believe we had never brought the less than a year old puppy to another vet and it took more than 2 months to receive my claim for the visit. since then it has been wonderful I submit my claim and I get reimbursed no issues. You may want to consider reducing the yearly deductible for a house cat to $100 as a yearly visit is $190.00 for a healthy cat, we will never meet our deductible until our cats are ready to pass on.

I have been with nationwide for 5 years on Dillon , and before that with my other Pom , that is no longer with us , but he had a full life and lived to be 16, I love my dog just like he is family, he’s my baby . There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him , he makes us happy , if you are a pet owner with out insurance, what the heck are you waiting for ?? We all want our dogs & other pets to be happy and in good heath , but sometimes things happen, we don’t want them to , but they do .and when something happens to Dillon my Pom , my stress mode gos though the ceiling, then I think vet bill , operation, xrays ,medicine , omg ! BUT THEN I THINK AGAIN , I HAVE NATIONWIDE !!! Nothing better then to know they will be here for Dillon ! And they have 100% this last bill I got from my vet was over $1,000.00 , and NATIONWIDE , well let just say it only cost me $ 5.00..... yes you heard me right $5. Bucks !! Now still think you don’t need insurance for pet ? All I could say is think about it . Iam happy nationwide is there to help me pay the bill , I thank them , and Dillon thanks them !!!

Best dog insurance hands down
I’ve had healthy paws for my accident prone lab retriever since 2017. The customer service is amazing. I’ve only needed to contact them a few times over the years but they were quick to help each time. While their monthly rates for the Chicagoland area have increase over the years, I cannot begin to explain how much they have covered for my dog. They keep it super simple. Just upload the itemized receipt. I take a picture of the receipt while I’m at the vet and just submit that through the app. I’ve been getting reimbursed 80% for everything after the first $250 that I pay for nala. They don’t cover preexisting so it’s good to just get on board with health insurance while your dog is young. Again, we have frequent visits to the vet because nala likes to play so hard and keeps getting hurt, but it feels great to have healthy paws on our side. They honestly are the best.
