Yahtzee's Hip Dysplasia

"Yahtzee was experiencing pain in her hip and the vet diagnosed her with hip dysplasia. We paid the vet and filed a claim with Pets Best. We received an immediate email confirming the claim had been received and another email a week or so later letting us know the claim was still under review. It's nice to get an update so you don't think nothing is happening. Once the claim was final we received an email explaining the decision and received reimbursement by direct deposit shortly after. The whole process as very simple and not stressful at all! "

Pets Best is Pets Worst

I'm a new customer. My dog had an accident and required some minor covered care. I submitted the claim and documentation. I received three emails apologizing for the delay (over 45 days) and claiming they were waiting for my dog's medical record from the vet. This is totally false. The health record from my vet was uploaded and added to my file the day I joined. The claim was denied. I cancelled my coverage.

Crooks with laughable service.

I made my claim and after a few weeks I stared getting email stating that they were very busy, running behind, and that they were attempting to contact my Vet. The next email said that they tried to get a hold of my Vet but they were not responding, if they did not respond my claim would be denied. I called my Vet and they said no one from any insurance had attempted to pull information from my file, that if they had they would most certainly give it. The next email from Pets Best said my claim was completely denied, that the Vet never responded. They never once asked for my assistance, called me, or talked to me. Pets Best did not respond to any of my email. My cats issue was an emergency visit, he was very ill because his back teeth became infected. All the visits, meds, x-rays, and surgery added up to several thousand dollars. I was not expecting much, but to be flat out denied for all of it when my cats life was in peril with a choice of let him suffer or do all that I could really hurt financially. To not get any assistance from a policy that cost quite a bit really disappoints me. The should not call themselves Pets Best, they are greedy crooks.

Best Claim Process Ever!

I submitted a small claim knowing it would go against my deductible, but wanting to know how the claim response was. It was better than my own personal insurance in clarity, timeliness, and interaction with my (pet's) provider. Wow!

Excellent Experience when I made a claim

Excellent service, simple to submit a claim. They covered everything according to the plan without any delays. We received the reimbursement before the credit card bill came in. I have two dogs that are insured through healthypaws and I highly recommend this service. It really offers a "peace of mind" when unexpected health issues occur with your pets. Jasmine just had TPLO surgery, and it really took the financial implications out of the equation when deciding what to do about her knee injury. I will always have this service as long as I have pets in the home

Thank God for MetLife

We've had 2 claims this year for our fur baby and both were for surgeries with significant costs incurred. Having the insurance helped greatly in covering those costs and we cannot recommend MetLife highly enough. The claims were handled promptly and efficiently and the process stress free. Metlife pet insurance is a joke!

They are nothing but con artists and liars. They take your money, promise refunds you'll never see, and deny your claim for obviously false reasons. My baby fell from a cat tree and they denied my injury claim stating I had no illness coverage at the time of the incident! Like um, hello, you just said your denying my INJURY claim because I don't have illness coverage? Well, probably cause it wasn't an illness, it was an INJURY! I've seriously considered taking legal action against them due to the fact I've sent numerous emails with no response. They are purposely ignoring me. Smells like a bad faith lawsuit in the works
