Ripoff!!!!
Don’t bother! They want through my 2 year old dogs vet file and denied all my claims because he had one seizure a week before I purchased this insurance. While they were explaining to me why they brought up an ear infection and UTI and said those were also pre-existing. I think this is a violation of my privacy that they went through all the dogs records. I have a right mind to contact a lawyer but I will for now just advise everyone not to purchase this insurance.

Really care!
The representative I spoke to really cared!!!! It was the best experience I ever had with an insurance company. We were traumatized with having to take our beautiful dog to emergency, but the rep assured me that we were covered. I couldn't imagine having the financial burden on top of the fear of losing our puppy. They covered in a true emergency and we are grateful for Trupanion.

Rep was fine
The rep. was fine but you need to empower them to take & resolve minor appeals. It is embarrassing to have to repeatedly ask very busy veterinarians to call or write justifications for their orders. It is the single reason none of my friends will get pet insurance. Their experience, and to a degree mine, is that the inevitable hassle is not worth their time.

Processing time
I used to always give 9's and 10's for everything. Trupanion has gone down in their processing time from 1-2 days to now 5 weeks. Chantal was as helpful as she could be, but was very limited on what she could say. As I have stated before, your EOBs leave a lot to be desired. As a former claims specialist for a large insurance company, I know you can do better.

am extremely happy with Trupanion
am extremely happy with Trupanion, although am disappointed, that the company changed the policy on cold laser treatment from a treatment to a therapy without notifying me ! My pet dog Cooper was doing really well with the laser. I am a senior and cannot afford to have this wonderful treatment.

Best decision

Answered everything.
Very helpful and was able to answer all my questions. Never experienced a problem with Trupanion. Due to my pet's surgeries they have been a lifesaver. I want my pet to have the best care available and with Trupanion that is possible. Reasonable rates which you can adjust to what you can afford. Worth every penny.
