Very long wait for claim. 12 weeks and counting……
Waiting 12 weeks for a wellness claim that was reduced by a 1/4 for services considered not covered. When all that the vet provided was basic routine shots and check up.

The best decision I made after bringing home my new puppy!
I’m so so so happy I choose to go with PetsPlusUs pet insurance, I would and I do recommend them to everyone who is considering pet insurance and definitely if your bringing home a new puppy! I can’t tell you how much peace of mind I had when my puppy ate something he shouldn’t have and we had an emergency hospital stay, I didn’t hesitate to leave him and had I not had the insurance I would have had to put my financial situation before my puppy’s care. I recommend PetsPlusUs for the following reasons, 1) immediately underwrite the policy, so from day one you are aware of any policy exemptions that would be considered pre-existing. 2) I’ve never had a claim denied 3) the Veterinary Clinic submits on my behalf and I’m reimbursed within 2-3 weeks 4) I’ve had several claims for both accidents and illness and my premiums have not increased with my annual renewal which is automatically renewed which is awesome! 5) my premiums are very affordable I looked at several other options and most were ridiculously high premiums, it costs me more to fill my vehicle with fuel than it does to pay my monthly premiums! The only way they could improve would be to offer direct billing.

Lemonade is great
Lemonade has been a great pet insurance for our 1 year old French Bulldog. He ate a kid’s toy that he shouldn’t have, but then it was too big to get past his stomach, so I had to take him to the pet ER. Lemonade paid for most of the ER visit and the scope procedure to remove the foreign body. That was over $3,000! Plus it was very easy to place the claim and then get the payment.

Embrace is the best
We just had to put down our amazing cockapoo - Lucy - after 10 years. She had a bunch of medical problems over the course of her life - including needing to undergo 5 major surgeries. She was admitted several times in the weeks before she was put down. Over the course of her life we relied on Embrace MANY times. Every interaction we had with them was excellent! We often needed to use up her entire $ 10,000 policy limits. We NEVER got any push back from Embrace. They reimbursed us quickly and without any jumping through hoops. There is no question we will use them again when we get another dog. They are TOP NOTCH!!!

Thankful we have insurance

Great company to work with!
My dog needed to have surgery to remove a couple masses for biopsy. Between the surgery and the follow ups the money added up. I submitted the claims and they were processed the next day. Checks are in the mail. On top of that customer service reached out to see how my dog was recovering. I thought that was a very nice touch, one that I had not expected.

Cancel, not here to take care of you or your pet.
I work in healthcare. A deformity that the animal was born with should NEVER be considered pre-existing. We rescued my dog and didn’t know what was wrong with him, we were told it was a broken bone that healed wrong initially, but because we had diagnostic tests done now it’s considered preexisting even though it is a VERY common deformity. It’s said that this claim was denied, it shows you are not in it to take care of your customers. I’ll be cancelling my policy as it’s obvious that you’re not in it to take care of members.
